Mishra's first printing seems a little lackluster on the outside, but it can be built around in interesting ways. Most commonly known is through possibility storm and other blanket casting effects where he breaks the parity. The other, less looked at is that you can abuse fail to find searches to make any artifact cast shuffle your library. Recently a few brewers' lists have involved the latter half, alongside a lantern control element.

This list includes elements from each, however I have gone out of my way to cut most of the more degenerate stax pieces in light of my current playgroup. The most notable cards pertaining specifically to Mishra would be Void Mirror, Nether Void, Planar Chaos, and a more committed lantern control package. This current list's themes focus more on "topdeck & CMC matters" themes alongside some classic artifact recursion and value. I have gone out of my way to make sure there's no infinites in the deck. It's pretty easy to go infinite with so many value engines, so I deliberately am not running haste enablers (this allows for infinites.) This list is also tutorless outside of fetches and Mishra.

Vorthos-y things I love about the list are a mirror/portal/lens subtheme as it relates to perception/linking of altered realities. The way this deck cares about different zones/redundancy in clones is the functional flavor. These points further ties into Time Spiral block's flavor since that's the set this Mishra was printed in. There are a number of cards not set on Dominaria, but that I could see making sense on Dominaria and areas old phyrexia had access to. I also love using both Dracos (artifact dragons), and giant constructs as threats/top deck combo pieces. Very Mishra.

As always, I appreciate thoughts and opinions.

Note* I may be slow to roll out a full deck analysis. My Mishra list has gone through many iterations since 2016, although I am quite pleased with this one and would love to do a card by card analysis if I can find the time. In the mean time, I have set a number of custom categories to help see my deck building thought process.
