Maybeboard

This deck is abusing new cards from kaldheim. When I first saw Pyre of Heroes , I didn't pay it too much attention. But when I saw Changelings... It was too broken. The main plan is to play Pyre of Heroes, then a turn three shapeshifter, Turn four fetch a monster. There are also cards that let us repeat this process again, such as Orah, Skyclave Hierophant , Luminous Broodmoth , and Nightmare Shepherd . Maskwood Nexus and The World Tree can fetch every creature in the deck, and Maskwood Nexus also turns Realm-Cloaked Giant into a single-sided boardwipe so you can swing in with huge monsters. Coveted Prize lets us search our extensive library for these combos. There are a lot of little problems that I hope to smooth out through play when Kaldheim releases, but you can save me the wildcards with any suggestions you have!

These are a few of my problems/questions: Should I use Triomes or Pathways to give me mana for Tazri, Beacon of Unity ? I am currently using Triomes because they provide two of the colors I already have so they can be useful as two colors until I need to use the extra colors, and they can be cycled away if they are useless. The main advantage to Pathways is that they enter untapped. They also are basically free because they function as a step up from a basic. The disadvantage is that if I play it earlier on in the game, I can't flip it to get my extra color. Maybe having the extra colors isn't that important, because I can use colorless for Tazri. I also wonder whether I should run more removal against aggressive decks. My only way to really catch up to a deck that gets away too fast is Realm-Cloaked Giant . My current pick for more removal is Mythos of Nethroi because it can get rid of The Great Henge , Embercleave , Ugin, the Spirit Dragon , and many other noncreature spells, as well as hitting creatures. After playing some standard, Mythos of Nethroi was too expensive. Added Bloodchief's Thirst I also wondered if some more tribal supports would fit. There are some really powerful ones such as Knights' Charge and General Kudro of Drannith that could be one-ofs just to tutor. There are also some really powerful 2-drops that could be used to fetch a 3-drop shapeshifter with pyre of heroes such as Worthy Knight , Cleric of Life's Bond , and Pack Leader . The main problem with this is that they aren't very good until you get Maskwood Nexus or a few shapeshifters. Of course, you can just throw them in the fire if they aren't useful to get a shapeshifter. I am also looking for a good haste enabler. So far, my favorite is Ogre Battledriver . It can be fetched with a shapeshifter, and it gives +2/+0. I have found a lot of other options, such as Gallia of the Endless Dance , Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded and Kenrith, the Returned King . I mostly want it for The World Tree . Purphoros is a god, but I can never get his devotion to 5 unless I really add in some red.

More interesting stuff: Orah makes us pretty much sweeper-proof with Maskwood Nexus . Bye-Bye Doomskar! Another cool combo is Bloodline Pretender and Squad Commander . I have been picking Kor with Bloodline pretender, because it works with that and Orah. I occasionally pick Warrior or cleric. I have actually started to win in ranked on Arena with some small adjustments, and I will try to continually update the list here with my changes, although I don't know how to add an update so that it shows up in one of those black box thingies.
