Throwing Rocs

Standard*

SharpJs

Sideboard

as soon as i saw the Refuge repeats I immediately wanted to play them in a deck with Ajani's Pridemate. you get to turn two Pridemate, turn three gain land pump him. Same with the Wangmate Roc. declare attackers, trigger life gain, pump Pridemate. the fact that most of the deck has a way of pumping him at any and every turn makes him into a powerhouse. a very unassuming card. Of course I had to put him in a deck that could easily survive without him.

I chose to Start Green/White in order to get full value from the lands without losing too much speed. Courser gives double gains to the Gain lands and makes the aggro match up a lot smoother. Seeker and Soldier are for early game gains.

Sorin is in the deck for easy value. build up your board then attack all out for big life swings. I thought about Elspeth But she is too costly for what I want to do. and outside of a more controlling deck she just kinda makes dudes and soaks up removal.
