I'm welcoming comments on this deck for Vintage.
I'm an old MTG player that just dusted off the collection to show the kids, and I've got a few other decks that we are using for that. I've picked these cards as I have most of them at this point, and want to put a deck together with the glut of Forgotten Realms I have.
I was glad to see that some people do play Thrulls. I don't know how this would fare in competitive Vintage, but I'm looking for casual play at my local game store where you can show up with anything on Sunday afternoons.
I think this a pretty simple, straight-forward deck for one not used to newer mechanics. Get as many Thrulls out as possible early to do some damage. Get to Breeding Pit, and put up a Thrull Champion. Use Thrull Surgeon on my own hand for Ebon Praetor or Lord of the Pit, followed by Soul Exchange. If I have a Champion out, then Sword of the Ages might be a finisher. I always did love Mishra's Factory, and I think it works well with a Sol Ring if I can get that out.
I don't have any healing at all. I do have dual lands in my possession in case of an overhaul, but that would take away from the FE Thrull feel of the deck IMHO. I'm willing to consider those suggestions though.
I know it's Vintage, and I don't have any power 9 in here. I could make this Legacy I suppose, but I'd like to play it a few time before that.
