Thrun: The Last Dad

Want a deck for someone new to Magic? Want a deck that won't suffer against control? Want a deck that can dish out 24 Commander damage by turn 6? Then this is the deck for you!

The idea for this deck was to create an easy-to-learn, easy-to-play, easy-to-build deck that both performed well and had simple mechanics. The main idea of this deck is simple: get Thrun out, make Thrun swole. Once he hits the field, Thrun doesn't really go away (except to boardwipes and bounce effects), so this deck is all about making him as big as possible to punch as hard as possible. The creatures in here are mostly utility to help slow down some of the other players on the field (we all know that guy with the Teferi's Puzzlebox combo) while being good blockers and punchers to aid Thrun. Improvements could be made, adding all the major Swords and/or Batterskull is a great place to start, but if you want a solid, budget Voltron deck, this will work for you.
