I'll post some more information when I get it, but a few ground rules first:

Do NOT tag any cards or users or decks or anything on any posts that are remotely related to our picks. If we crack a frigging Elspeth or something, don't post "OMG Elspeth, Sun's Champion ", post "OMG Elspeth, Sun's Champion". This is to prevent anyone from seeing those comments in the comment feed on that card's page.

Picks will be decided on by popular vote. If you don't vote or discuss the pick, your opinion won't be counted; since we only have 8 people in this group, each vote really matters. And just because 2 or 3 people seem to want a certain card, that does not mean it's the best pick. Voice your opinions even if you're not sure it's a valid point, because the more we discuss, the more likely we are to make the right pick (usually).

In case of any ties or close races, I reserve the right to break that tie or tilt the scales a bit. I'll only resort to this for tough picks.

Now comes the most important part of this whole process: picking a name. It doesn't matter if we win, if we have a sucky name, we will have failed.

Didn't yeaGO! fix the issue where comments on a private deck would show up in the linked card's comment stream? Or am I wrong about that? I know I have a hard time not auto-linking cards...

As for the most important part, we should make it something Theros-related. Suggestion: Team Heroic Spirits.

@yeaGO! Well, I created a private prototype deck and put only 1 Bloom Tender in it. Then I made a comment on it where I linked Bloom Tender, and I don't see that comment in Bloom Tender's comment stream. Seems fixed to me? I don't know if there are corner cases that I'm just not seeing.

Still fighting the urge to put those brackets.

Well we can test it here also, nothing important is gonna be said before the packs come.

Pantheon works for me. Howdy, guys. I'm from michigan but an hanging out in England for the school year so sorry if I post at kinda weird times.

If someone wants to support another team name please do so now, otherwise we'll go with Team Pantheon.

I'm personally not a fan of Team Pantheon, I think it's not well researched, no offence folks. And I could hardly make a badass banner with a name like that.

I've actually like the suggestion about sharknado but I say we need to make it our own. And if we go in the lore of the Theros block we could get:

Minotornado. Time to pull out our Didgeridoo s and go Minotaur tribal.

What about something punny like the hydra-gen bomb?

I also like Minotornado. Btw, as far as drafting strategies go, blue is generally agreed to be the strongest color. That means we either try to run/splash it, or we play with it in mind. I'm sure a lot of drafters will want to take blue, so the only way we'll get to run it is if we have real solid picks.

During the last draft our team couldn't decide which color to splash, and it come back to bite us when we needed to sideboard. With that in mind, we shouldn't flip flop our color choices after pack one, or we will end up with a deck that is too focused and has no flexibility. So, does anyone have a preference on how many colors we would like to run? personally i would like to run 2 colors. I'm not a fan of mono-colored drafting and, in my opinion, Theros doesn't have the mana fixing we need to run a 3 color deck.

I'm also down with Minotornado, rather than Pantheon
