Not sure if we would main-board it (over what?), but it's the best card in the pack for us.

I would main board it to steal something big to win with.

I'd be okay with Portent of Betrayal , we might actually get a large-ish creature from it.Last Breath wouldn't be a bad choice either though, I don't think. Still, I am hoping the portent will be more useful.

Naw, man, we should TOTALLY grab the Yoked Ox. (This sounded less mean in my head.)
+1 Dragon Mantle .

I actually do hope we get the Yoked Ox 2 picks from now. We can stick our buffs on it, and it'll be way better than Ephara's Warden .
November 20, 2013 2:37 p.m.
That's a good point, except that the Ephara's Warden s are in our sideboard right now, but I do agree that the two potential oxen that we could pick up could be useful. They could provide a good defense, until we can cast our bestow creatures. It would also be fun to exploit the ox's lack of defender, and tron it up. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot to remove to make room for them, other than the Traveling Philosopher s. We should be careful not to remove too many humans though, or our Cavalry Pegasus will lose some effectiveness, and it seems like flying might be our best win con.

Definitely +1 Dragon Mantle
The green player in me is crying over that Centaur Battlemaster . TT

I actually think at this point we want to be cutting spells for creatures. 13 just seems like too few. I'd say cut the Last Breath if we get the Yoked Ox . It'll be good to have it in the sideboard, but I just don't think that the majority of creatures less than 3 power are worth it. If we get another playable creature, I'd be looking at Battlewise Valor next.
November 20, 2013 3:23 p.m.
I'd be happy going up to 15 creatures but we should be careful not to cut too many spells that can trigger heroic. On the other hand, a bunch of our creatures are basically spells anyway, so maybe we need a bunch more creatures.
@Goody, have you been having any problems with hands full of spells and/or bestow creatures, with nothing to cast them on?
November 20, 2013 3:30 p.m.
The biggest problem is the lack of heroic creatures. It really cuts the value of each spell by a lot. 13 creatures would be fine if there were more heroes, but we might want to cut a spell for a creature for 14 creatures. I don't think we need 15, but we definitely want an abundance of spells.
November 20, 2013 4:16 p.m.
Even 13 is fine, as long as the opponent doesn't have a lot of removal. Since that's unlikely, we may want to go up.

The Decorated Griffin seems like the best idea in this pack and his ability is more relevant for us colour wise than Setessan Griffin .
It makes a decent mana sink in late game and nothing else in this pack is actually worth hating over it.

I agree. Decorated Griffin helps us more here than its setessan counterpart.
November 21, 2013 12:38 p.m.
The Decorated Griffin does seem like the best pick.

Does this guy go to the sideboard? I don't know if it's better than anything we have in the mainboard. We've got a lot of red, so maybe we could replace Evangel of Heliod ?
November 21, 2013 12:57 p.m.
Yeah I don't know how much I like the evangel, at 6 cost it's pretty bad for our deck.
November 21, 2013 1:52 p.m.
With out the Evangel we have equal red and white mana symbols on permanents, so devotion to either wouldn't really make sense.
I'm down with a 5 drop 2/3 flier with upsides, over a 6 drop 1/3 that might create a few 1/1's.
November 21, 2013 4:16 p.m.
We should get the Catoblepas!
Naw, jk. Let's go with the Ox. Sad that we didn't get the Valor back, but that's to be expected.
