Simple gameplan... With six mana available, activate the ability of any of the three hunters: Moggcatcher, Seahunter, or Skyshroud Poacher, and win the game that turn!

TorchGif 3 Hunters Combo

  1. Drop any of the three hunters (Moggcatcher, Seahunter, or Skyshroud Poacher) to the battlefield. (Riptide Shapeshifter and Zirilan of the Claw will also work for a bit more mana).

  2. Next turn, with Mana available, tap your hunter for to search your library for Morophon, the Boundless and put it on the battlefield. Select creature type Dragon for Morophon's discount.

  3. Now you cast Tiamat from the command zone for . When Tiamat's triggered ability resolves, search for Reckless Barbarian, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, a 5c Niv Mizzet, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, and Hoarding Broodlord and put them all into your hand.

  4. Cast Reckless Barbarian and then sac him to net an additional mana from Morophon's cost reduction.

  5. Cast Scion of the Ur-Dragon and activate its ability for to transform him into Ramos, Dragon Engine. Now that you have Ramos on the battlefield, cast your 5c Niv Mizzett for free from Morophon's discount. This gives Ramos counters.

  6. Activate Ramos' ability to add additional mana.

  7. Spend the white and red mana generated by Ramos to cast Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm followed by casting Hoarding Broodlord using convoke.

  8. Two instances of the Broodlord's ability will trigger. With Broodlord's triggered ability, search for Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal.

  9. Cast Food Chain from exile using convoke. Then cast Squee (utilize Food Chain for more mana if needed).

  10. Now that you have the food chain combo assembled, repeatedly cast Squee, then exile Squee, then cast again, netting infinite mana to cast creatures. When you get enough extra mana, exile and recast Tiamat, paying the Commander tax. When Tiamat's ETB triggers, Search for Shields of Velis Vel and Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund in the mix of five Dragons.

  11. Using Morophon's discount, cast Shields of Velis Vel targeting the opponent which has the best creatures, turning them into dragons. Then cast Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund to gain control of all those creatures and give all your creatures haste.


Note: If Hoarding Broodlord is in your graveyard and not your library, include Bladewing the Risen as one of your 5 dragons. Select Hoarding Broodlord in the graveyard upon ETB.


TorchGif3 Hunters Combo-"No Ramos" Variant

Use this variant if Ramos, Dragon Engine is not in your library. It's a weaker combo but puts you in a strong position.

  1. Drop any of the three hunters (Moggcatcher, Seahunter, or Skyshroud Poacher) to the battlefield. (Riptide Shapeshifter and Zirilan of the Claw will also work for a bit more mana).
  2. Next turn, with Mana available, tap your hunter for to search your library for Morophon, the Boundless and put it on the battlefield. Select creature type Dragon for Morophon's discount.
  3. Now you cast Tiamat from the command zone for . When Tiamat's triggered ability resolves, search for Reckless Barbarian, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, a Niv-Mizzet, Two-Headed Hellkite, and Hoarding Broodlord and put them all into your hand.
  4. Cast Reckless Barbarian and then sac him to net an additional mana from Morophon's cost reduction.
  5. Cast Scion of the Ur-Dragon and activate its ability for to transform him into The Ur-Dragon). Now that you have the Ur Dragon on the battlefield, cast Two-Headed Hellkite for free thanks to the cost reduction from both Morophon and The Ur Dragon. You can also cast Niv-Mizzet.
  6. Attack with Two-headed Hellkite to trigger the Ur Dragon's ability.
  7. Select Hoarding Broodlord as the permanent to drop onto the battlefield.
  8. With Broodlord's triggered ability, search for Food Chain.
  9. Cast Food Chain from exile using convoke.
  10. exile and recast Tiamat, paying the Commander tax. When Tiamat's ETB triggers, Search for Shields of Velis Vel and Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund in the mix of five Dragons.
  11. Using Morophon's discount, cast Shields of Velis Vel targeting the opponent which has the best creatures, turning them into dragons. Then cast Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund to gain control of all those creatures.


Note: If Ramos is in your hand and you have enough mana to combo without Reckless Barbarian, select Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm instead of Reckless Barbarian and simply drop Ramos using the UR-Dragon.

TorchGifDream Halls Combo

  1. Cast Dream Halls.
  2. Discard a card of any color to cast Tiamat. When Tiamat hits the battlefield: search for a niv-mizzet, Bladewing the Risen, Myriim, Sentinel Wyrm, and Hoarding Broodlord. For the fifth dragon, if you have an extra blue card search for Sapphire Dragon for combo protectionotherwise search for Dragonlord Dromoka if you have an extra white or green card.
  3. Cast Myriim, Sentinel Wyrm, with Dream Halls by discarding a Niv Mizzet. Discard Hoarding Broodlord to cast Bladewing the Risen. Use Bladewing to return Hoarding Broodlord and another dragon from graveyard to the battlefield.
  4. Thanks to Miirym, two instances of Hoarding Broodlord's ability will trigger. With Hoarding Broodlords’ abilities, search for Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal.
  5. Use convoke to cast food chain. Assemble the Food chain/Squee combo and generate infinite mana for creatures.

TorchGifGoblin Recruiter Combo

  1. Cast Goblin Recruiter.
  2. With Goblin Recruiter's Triggered ability, search for Goblin Matron and Warren Instigator, putting Warren Instigator on top.
  3. Next turn, draw and then cast Warren Instigator.
  4. On the next turn, draw Goblin Matron, and proceed to the combat phase, deal first strike combat damage to an opponent with Warren instigator. When Warren Instigator's ability trigger's, drop Goblin Matron onto the battlefield
  5. When Goblin Matron's ability trigger's choose Morophon, the Boundless from your library
  6. After regular (non first-strike) combat damage with Warren Instigator, drop Morophon, the Boundless onto the battlefield

TorchGifJarad's Orders Combo

This combos using Jarad's Orders to fetch Spellseeker and Morophon, the Boundless

  1. Cast Jarad's Orders. Put Spellseeker into your hand, and Morophon, the Boundless into your graveyard.
  2. Next turn, with Mana available, cast Spellseeker and search for Reanimate. Reanimate Morophon. Declare "Dragon" as the Creature type for Morophon.
  3. Now you cast Tiamat from the command zone for . When Tiamat's triggered ability resolves, search for Reckless Barbarian, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, a 5c Niv Mizzet, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, and Hoarding Broodlord and put them all into your hand.
