Now, I'm sure you're all thinking:

"Wow, what a boring and bland equipment deck. Skullclamp, Commander's Plate, Sword of Feast and Famine, etc."

But before looking a little bit further you might be a little surprised by some odd picks

"Lion's Eye Diamond? Odd, but okay, wait? Alhammarret's Archive? Smokestack? Possessed Portal!? What's going on here!?"

Well, here's the thing. This deck isn't about the equipment. It's about Tiana, Ship's Caretaker. Although I like to joke at the table that Puresteel Paladin as the secret commander, Sram, Senior Edificer as the backup commander, and Wyleth, Soul of Steel as the backup-backup commander, the REAL game plan isn't to swing.

The true nature of the deck is to stax out the game with Smokestack and Possessed Portal, utilizing Tiana, Ship's Caretaker's subpar ability to recur destroyed equipment or aura's. With cheap, utility equipment, it's easy to recast them every turn.

Plan B, getting use out of equipment like Sunforger to chain our Chance for Glory and next turn Angel's Grace while tucking either back in using Mistveil Plains. With Gideon of the Trials it's a straight up infinite turns combo, provided we have the mana or Puresteel Paladin to reequip Sunforger for free to grab Final Fortune or Chance for Glory and tucking it back in with Mistviel Plains.

We can also combo out with Mystic Forge, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir. With Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer we have a lot of cantripping to fish for the combo, all the while disguising our gameplan as an honest attacking deck. They are the engine that puts everything in place, which is why we have Recruiter of the Guard, Imperial Recruiter, and Search for Glory all with Puresteel and Sram's name on 'em.

Also, we have bomberman combo added in. I got milled one time, so I thought now would be a good time to add him in. Auriok Salvagers doesn't just get our 1 drop equipment we sac to smokestacks or Krark-Clan Ironworks, but it gains infinite mana with Lion's Eye Diamond or Mox Opal+Krark-Clan Ironworks. This infinite mana cannot be used for dumping the hand, because of LED, but it does recur any 1 drops that got milled OR it can go infinite with Pyrite Spellbomb.

If you're stuck with no combo pieces in hand and have a Inventors' Fair to activate, you have choices based on how everything is operating on the board. If you think you have an opportunity to lock the game up against opponents who are running out of gas, Smoke Stack and getting Tiana, Ship's Caretaker is an option with any other equipment, but if you just need gas, I'd go for Mystic Forge over Sensei's Divining Top. Top is good, but not better than cycling the top card to the deck.

This deck is the most unperfected of the ones I have. I am still working on it to get it just right.
