Really? Sounds like he's a real scoundrel! Thanks for the warning, I suppose more lands will help.

You might want to be able to kill a bunch of creatures at once (never know which one is a planar swindler), Toxic Deluge or Blasphemous Act can do that job quite well

I have a handful of ways to flush him out, and have already included those as a precaution!

Loving this deck by the way. Looking amazing so far. Really well done

Thank you! I tried to not make it too powerful as to not make my playgroup focus me. Also, while stealing opponent's spells can be quite good, the deck runs fine without nabbing them.

Oldcrow80 Of course, it seems really fun; I'm gonna probably build it in paper when I get the chance. I would include Thran Dynamo for extra mana when stealing spells in place of Chandra, Acolyte of Flame. Can't emphasize enough this deck looks really sweet

Chandra seems to not be super amazing, but idk how many tikes in testing I have secured a win by using her minus ability to recast a tutor.

So let me get this straight: Tibalt is pretending to be Valki, who's just off-brand Loki? Wack. Also cool deck.
February 3, 2021 12:34 p.m.
Yes, just like how Oketra is off brand Bastet and Erebos is Hades etc... And thank you!

Also this is a super nice deck. Thank you for putting the effort into making it, I know how long it can take to make a deck.

Heliod is one part Helios and one part Zeus, and thank you! It took a little while to find what exactly I wanted to do with the deck.

Oldcrow80 love the deck love the commander. +1 for me 100%
I need to build my own version of this sweet Tibalt. During my brewing i cannot recommend Fork , Reverberate and Reiterate enough. They are such insanely fun cards and works with Tibalts gimmick/theme.
February 5, 2021 12:27 p.m.
When I first was making the deck I had 130 cards and for and Reverberate were amongst them. Sadly they didn't make the cut because as fun as they are, they tend to be dead draws a lot. However if you find in your own version them to be strong then go for it! Just in my playgroup have found them lacking. And I am heavily considering removing Wild Ricochet as well sadly. But we will see through more games and more tests.

I'm confused as to what the Braid of Fire is used for since that mana goes away before the main pahse...
February 11, 2021 6:32 a.m.
Firstly It let's me cast instants from Tibalt but mainly it is used in conjunction with Leyline Tyrant and if I add it Horizon Stone to bank the mana it generates.

Ah, okay thanks. Just wanted to make sure I didn't spend money on a dud. Dunno why I didn't see those before...

Nice deck you got here, Oldcrow80. I just wish it was more my budget...
February 11, 2021 11:08 a.m.
SturWulf well I am glad you are taking inspiration from my list! I tend to add odd interactions like that in most of my lists since people both underestimate and ignore them.
KITTYMANHunkGTI while my list is very expensive, a large part of the budget comes from foil lands that I slowly have collected or cards I have opened from packs. I have a 2 pack rule per set. I only open 2 packs. I managed to get a mana crypt from mystery booster. But regardless of my luck the list can and does function very well with more budget cards. You just need to add more mana rocks and more card draw spells like Sign in Blood .
February 11, 2021 12:31 p.m.
KITTYMANHunkGTI actually if you remove JUST the cards in the $20-$100 category then the deck's value lowers $574.22 (TCG mid). And that's ignoring getting non-foils. Which would lower the value even further. Though my deck isn't the end-all-be-all for Tibalt lists.

You have plenty or ramp, but I heard something about a Seven-CMC planeswalker stalking the backs of cards. Might come in handy. Just in case, I would add a few lands.
