This is a Standard Mono-Blue Control deck that utilizes part of the core of the Mono-Blue Prison archetype.

The all-creature side board makes for an extremely unexpected albiet effective strategic surprise on game two when an opponent boards out most their removal after seeing a nearly creatureless main board on game one.

The entire side-board is boarded in on game two in exchange for Rise from the Tides, Engulf the Shore , & Jace's Sanctum; with the remaining few cards to board out left as independent variables in accordance to what the opponent reveals on the first game.

NOTE that the "maybe-board" represents an alternate version of the sideboard for a sharper approach to the Mono-Blue Prison/Control deck that opponents face on game one.
