Abuse all the AMAZING pauper spells and some cards that work well with it
Deck Tech:
OP Spells:
There are some of the best spells in the game that are perfectly legal in pauper. This deck runs a lot of them. Lightning Bolt is one of the most iconic magic cards and alongside Skred keeps the opponents board looking sparse. Counterspell has a whole type of card named after it and paired with Negate makes it hard for our opponent to resolve a threat. Ephemerate doubles as not only protection but can get one or even two extra etb triggers. Lorien Revealed has quickly become a multi-format staple and for good reason, this amazing card can get you lands and mana fix using Volatile Fjord and Glacial Floodplain early on or turn around and be a hefty refill spell in the later game.
OP-tions:
This deck also has cards most decks can only include in the sideboard in our main deck. There is an essays worth of reasoning on why a deck like this can do this but the tldr is that we have a lot of draw(Lorien Revealed) and a lot of sift(Augur of Bolas/Preordain) which lets us have enough cards in hand/see enough of our deck to benefit from running a couple copies of cards that are flexible hate like Abrade which can be a Lightning Strike but can also remove artifacts that sneak past your counterspells. Likewise, Destroy Evil works similarly but for enchantments(though it also provides removal vs BIG creatures that our red removal can lack).
Creatures:
The all-star of this deck is definitely Augur of Bolas as it provides a ton of card advantage(especially paired w/ Ephemerate) and helps us find the right answer for the right situation. Murmuring Mystic is a personal favorite as it gives you a 1/1 flyer on each spell cast. Archaeomancer lets us recur our best answers and provides near infinite value when paired with Ephemerate. finally, Mulldrifter is another great bounce target and remember you can flicker it in response to the evoke trigger to get the etb twice and keep the unit.
Sideboard:
The sideboard for this deck can really be whatever you want(tune it to matchups you are struggling with). Relic of Progenitus is an easy gy hate card that replaces itself. Hydroblast helps vs all the red aggro decks looking to rush you down and some etc decks like boros bully or gruul ponza where it can get bigger tempo swing. Pyroblast is great vs those pesky blue decks looking to counter our spells(thats our thing!). Dispel is the same idea but can also help vs some black or red decks with lots of removal. Revoke Existence hits those annoying non-creature permanents and avoids any on death triggers like with Ichor Wellspring while Annul stops them ever entering the battlefield. Lone Missionary is an early body that also helps vs aggro and burn(flickering it can be back breaking for burn decks). Other options you could run are - Dust to Dust, Dawnbringer Cleric, Red Elemental Blast, Spell Pierce, Breath Weapon, Cast into the Fire, and plenty others.
