This is a list of banned cards for Tier 3 (just below cEDH-- as of 10-10-24). I worry that when Wizards releases their official tier list, it will be a list of suggestions and not a complete list. If that's the case, this will stand for my personal play group (though I may adjust when I see the official suggestions). If they give a robust and specific list, like this one, then I just wasted a lot of time :)

The cards in the sideboard are "banned as commander," but are perfectly legal in the 99. I'm pretty sure this will be brought back by Wizards, as well as them allowing planeswalkers as commanders finally, so I prepared for that.

The maybe-board is for a watch list of potential future bans.

In the future, I would like to add Un-sets to this. I feel several cards from there would be reasonable to add, but some obviously aren't. It's just a lot of work to parse through them all.

My goals with the choices were to remove overly problematic cards, cards frequently complained about, and some of the over-pushed recent releases designed to artificially rotate formats. Some of these hurt because they're favorites of mine, but it's clear banning the cards I've chosen will lead to more fun overall.
