Oh yeah for sure thanks for the suggestion on the scry land it will be a good feeling adding those being able to scry with aggro is pretty nice. Tainted_Light yes I recently ran this last Friday and took 1st and you are not right many people don't really play selesnya aggro at the moment but what do mean by running out of steam.

I mean that when the game is stalled longer than the aggro phase, the deck seems to lose effectiveness especially against mono-black devotion and decks that run much removal.

The only card that seem to help late game would be Fleecemane Lion because of monstrous

Yeah I hear you those card draw engines really have an advantage over aggro especially when aggro starts to run outta gas. Selesnya has a lot to offer though how you wanna run it is up to you I have chosen aggro because its fits my play style and has been the most effective for me over time, we will see once the new set comes out.

What about Brimaz, King of Oreskos ? He is in my own Selesnya aggro, Lions and Satyrs and Wurms, Oh My!. In testing so far, he is doing very well in almost all matchups.

Deck is super nice! +1

Have you tried out Trostani, Selesnya's Voice for the mirror and vs control?

flashter says... #8

Thanks I actually have not tried it out but I do know that in the mirror Unflinching Courage is one of the best cards to bring in for bigger dudes and life gain, I will consider it thanks again.

When I saw the name Jedi Knights I thought you would have definitely run Fiendslayer Paladin for sure. He is the true jedi knight!

when siding for g/r monsters you want to keep the experiment for mizzium mortars, you can just regenerate him. Also you want unflinching courage and plummets. Unflinching courage so you have a bigger dude than they do and you have trample to get over things like scavengin ooz. Plummet obviously against stormbreath dragon.

Dictate of Heliod vs Spear of Heliod ? I guess it could be like SURPRISE! but the mana cost makes me cringe a bit.

flashter says... #14

zaxinou I here you I used to run Spear of Heliod for a bit and the card was nice but I would rather not spend an early turn on the spear when what I want to do is curve out then have that as icing on the cake also good in the mirror and as a combat trick kind of like Boon Satyr . Although the spear is sweet for removal as well.

Have you thought about addiing in Eidolon of Countless Battles its a real killer and i would almost run it over Gods Willing it also could b a good sideboard card as well.

Hey dude ! Ok i just went through your deck and i think you gonna have a real bad time against control, junk and some types of decks. Let's take an example. I play junk, we play together, i use 1 Abrupt Decay on your first ajani and 1 Hero's Downfall on the other one. you have no other winning conditions, so i win. (a monstruous fleeceman is not a winning condition, 1 Blood Baron of Vizkopa on the field and you can't do anything + you don't have haste so you can't kill me before turn 5 = when i get big enought ). OK, so first you need more winning conditions.

_ 1st option, you not gonna like it, you swap the green for black, get Whip of Erebos , Sin Collector , Obzedat, Ghost Council , Blood Baron of Vizkopa and removals spells like Thoughtseize , Doom Blade , Hero's Downfall but your deck won't be a selesnya aggro.

_ 2nd option, you bring Ajani, Mentor of Heroes , Brimaz, King of Oreskos in and Kalonian Hydra or Archangel of Thune but you are still really weak against removal spells.

If I were you i would buy the land base and cards that you need to complement your deck for a junk deck B/W/G. I have a performant deck like that and if you need advices about it I'll be glad to help!

Hope this comment help you !

quentin74 Thanks for the comment and concern but there is other ways for me to win in those situations like playing a wurm when you tap out for baron then bestowing a Boon Satyr and beating down although if I don't have the means to do so then yeah I usually just lose against a Blood Baron of Vizkopa so I see what you mean. I actually have the junk midrange deck built as my secondary if you look at my profile the list is there, that deck is sweet and super powerful. This particular build of Selesnya is awesome and consistent as can be right now I took 1st in the last 3 standard events I played in which is great and the most recent was 5 rounds 30 people which is not bad, I also brought this build to an SCG open in Columbus recently and went 7-3 which is also not bad. Thanks for the comment and I do see what you mean overall but the deck to me is to solid right now to make any adjustments at the moment.

This is super tough to deal with. I am going to to do some testing with it later to see how well it fares against MBD. +1 and nice job.

This might seem counter intuitive, but it might not be a bad idea and that's changing Soldier of the Pantheon for Dryad Militant . The reason being that the soldier can't be targeted by Selesnya Charm . I would also recommend removing Gods Willing for another ajani and another boon satyr.

July 3, 2014 2:10 a.m.

flashter says... #24

GeoKinetic you make some good points I actually used to run Dryad Militant over Soldier of the Pantheon for a while then I realized how good the soldier really was. I also could run both maybe shaving some number of the Dryad Militant in place of Gods Willing , I just really like what Gods Willing does for me granting staying power with also being able to scry is really nice with aggro shipping an unneeded land or whatever. Thanks for you suggestions though I will keep them in mind.

Why don't you change Mana Confluence for a City of Brass, It's a cheap version of the same card. Maybe change some Forest and Plains for some fetches like Windswept Heath, so you'll have a more refined draws on the late game.
