Scavenging Ooze , if it lives, solves Whip of Erebos problems but that is it. Pithing Needle does the same thing ..Gods Willing is a very solid spot protection. Brave the Elements may not hit all of your creatures but if you dropped Experiment One and throw in Soldier of the Pantheon or Favored Hoplite it would be a good choice. Maybe two Brave the Elements and two Gods Willing .

I think I want to go with one or the other I think if I choose to run Brave the Elements than i want to run Soldier of the Pantheon but still tryin to decide on what to do although Gods Willing may be where I wanna be but Brave the Elements protects against Anger of the Gods . You watching the coverage star city games top 8 Selesnya aggro happy to see my type of build running things.

Can you take a look at my G/W enchantment deck? I could use some help with it and you might get some ideas from it.

Also, have you considered Sedge Scorpion and/or Suntail Hawk in place of dryad militant? The each cost one green or white depending on the card and have very useful effects. I used to use dryad militant more but these days I sideboard in for when I fight mill decks and decks with a lot of flashback or returning cards dr rom the graveyard.

The Dryad Militant is better than the 2 that you have recommended I think because it is a 2/1 for 1 that evolves Experiment One also it is for rather white or green serving as synergy for the deck all around Dryad Militant are not really relevant at the moment but think it may something in store for the ability to hit. Thanks for commenting I will check out your deck as well.

Awesome selesnya deck! I run a selesnya aggro too but with more focus on lifegain and Archangel of Thune . Could you take a look at it? I'm thinking of what cards to get for it and swap out in it but not too sure. It's Ajani's Narnia (Selesnya Aggro).

Hey, just out of curiousity, how has this deck been doing against all the mono colored decks we've been seeing? (black, blue, red, white weenie)

also, i'll take a look at your cousin's deck :)

good at the tournament games against all but white weenie I won most of the matches some I did lose to mono blue once, so overall it does well.

EfYeahItsAlex thanks for looking at my cousins deck he has actually decided on a mono red brew to go to Friday night magic with when we go I will be running good ole Selesnya aggro you know me. I will let you know how it performs in the field here in Ohio where I just moved to from North Carolina, When I was going to Friday Night Magic in NC I was top 4 in every event so Selesnya is solid.

+1, love the deck...Selesnya has a soft spot in my heart lol. I would strongly recommend replacing Loxodon Smiter with Banisher Priest , you basically have a smiter with a smaller booty in Boon Satyr only much more versatile than the the smiter. Banisher Priest exiles just about every creature in the format aside from Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa , even if it dies in a turn or two...it's mana well spent.

My recommendations :

-4 Loxodon Smiter in favor of +4 Banisher Priest -2 Sundering Growth and -1 Last Breath for +3 Plummet ...I say this because the popularity of the G/R Monsters deck is taking off and the deck is only getting better with Born of the Gods, not having an answer to Stormbreath Dragon has cost me too many games. Anyway, love the brew!

Also, with Selesnya builds being color intensive i.e. having cards with both double green and double white in the mana cost, I actually went up to 24 lands with a dead split between green and white 8/8 with 4 shocks and 2 gates, it has been the best move I have made...not sure if you have had experiences getting "color screwed" but I know I have...that one extra plains goes a long way.

What's so good about Experiment One ?

January 18, 2014 7:41 a.m.

What's so good about Experiment One ? It rocks! it gets +1/+1 for each creature with greater power OR toughness. so.. every last one of those cards can buff him like crazy. Here is the dream order of creatures to proc Experiment One : soldier of the pantheon (power). or voice of resurgence (toughness), boon satyr/fleecemane lion, loxodon smiter, and advent of the wurm. If you hit this combo, he will be a 5/5 himself. for a 1 drop, it could be insane.the 2 drop ooze card is also great in this deck. if you have removal, no problem, exile creatures to buff him +1/+1.

Have you played this deck recently at FNM's? My selesnya aggro hasn't been seeing much success once I changed the decklist close to the basic list people are running for selesnya aggro now. It runs out of steam too easily.
