I have a wide variety of decks fitting different themes, but the one thing I haven't tried is group hug. I didn't want it to be a true group hug where I just gave everything away and let the board trample over me so here is my interpretation of a group hug. Of course Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis has to be the main man. They give me 4 colors to work with and I love that. I also included other group hug staples like Gluntch, the Bestower and Kwain, Itinerant Meddler just to add to the picture of us presenting ourselves to be the nice guy on the board. I mean...who doesn't like free lands, cards, and treasures right?

Now I know what you're thinking, "Jo, what about these crazy cards like Impervious Greatwurm, Colossus of Akros, and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker? Those aren't very group huggish!" You'd be right. This introduces the sub theme to my deck and really its true hidden purpose. I will give you all the lands and card draw you want...JUST DON'T TOUCH ME. These big cards that would traditionally raise a few eyebrows are strictly there to deter people from attacking you. I told my play group I wasn't going to attack when The Locust God ETB'd. "It'll be fine", I said. "JUST DON'T TOUCH ME."

On top of continuing this theme of "DON'T TOUCH ME" is force feeding your opponents with card draw. Forced Fruition, Folio of Fancies, Font of Mythos, Dictate of Kruphix, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Temple Bell, and even Jace Beleren are there to force feed everyone else to draw out their decks. You may not win by combat. But you can win by sticking to the "DON'T TOUCH ME" clause and getting people to draw out of their library.

Other non-traditional Win-Con cards are listed here:

Azor's Elocutors

Triskaidekaphile

Laboratory Maniac

Approach of the Second Sun

Insurrection - if you do want to get aggro and start swinging

Jace, Wielder of Mysteries

Devoted Druid, Luxior, Giada's Gift, and Helix Pinnacle - Equip Luxior to Devoted Druid then you can tap and untap infinitely giving you the right amount of mana for Helix Pinnacle's end game.

I have a really fun time playing this deck because I get to sit back and force feed cards into people's hands while building a defense for my own ALL under the guise of this deck being a group hug. Its fun, mischievous, and cheeky. I love it and I hope you do too. Let me know what you think!
