Awesome deck! I recently built Tayam myself, and it’s an intricate little engine — very fun to pilot.

One tiny quibble: You mention using Yawgmoth’s ability to sacrifice a creature and put a -1/-1 counter on himself as fodder for Tayam. Sadly, Yawgmoth — being a Human — has protection from himself. So you’d just need to find another creature you can put a -1/-1 counter on temporarily.

Could Ghave slot into this deck? I am missing a lot of your more expensive cards and have a spare Ghave sitting on my desk waiting to help.

I think there are a few synergies among the other creatures.

BrutalAnimosity: Ghave definitely could slot into the deck and I could see adding a couple of persist creatures to synergize with it better too.

Cool primer. How resilient do you find this version of the deck? I am currently putting mine together to be more all in on the <3cmc combos as I already have a Meren deck that runs Mikeaus, Avenger of Zendikar, Walking Ballista etc.

Do you find that you rely on some of these heavy hitters? I've had my Meren deck forever so I could scrap it to emalgimate

CrystalMath: I haven't test this deck out much yet but from goldfishing it seems pretty resilient to hate since I run a bunch of redundancies. Those heavy hitters (Meren etc.) works really well in this deck as it provides value to grind out the game in the absence of Tayam and I consider them integral to the deck as of now. I don't think it's a bad idea to combine your Meren into Tayam if you're considering this version of my build. It plays very similarly but with more interesting paths.

I'm surprised you aren't running Renegade Rallier as it is one of the best way's to set up Tayam loops, and Angelic Renewal is an instant with with it+ an additional way to instant with with Avenger of Zendikar

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but how does this Deck not mill itself? I don't see how Tayam Combos go Infinite considering you are actively milling yourself every time you use his ability and I don't see a way for you to shuffle cards from your GY into your Deck... Could you clear that up please I really like Tayam but this seems to be a brittle flaw.

I3asil When you start comboing off you win on the spot. When you mill an empty library you don't lose the game. You only lose the game if you draw from an empty library.
