Chronozoas! Chronozoas everywhere!
The basic idea is to throw down a Chronozoa and copy it.
Furthermore, using Cryptoplasms, target the Chronozoa.
Now you have a Chronozoa with the added ability of shapechanging during Upkeep.
Keep in mind, a Cryptoplasm that didn't enter the Battlefield as Chronozoa will not have any Time Counters on it. Be aggressive with these. When it dies (and you want it to) it creates two tokens that practically reads:
Vanishing 3 (This permanent enters the battlefield with three time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)
When Chronozoa dies, if it had no time counters on it, put two tokens that are copies of it onto the battlefield.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may have Chronozoa become a copy of another target creature. If you do, Chronozoa gains this ability.
Now if your army doesn't cut the job, throw in Warstorm Surge and enough Paradox Hazes to trigger a Chronozoa sacrifice each upkeep.
Keep in mind, using more than 1 Paradox Haze without Warstorm Surge is a big no-no.
Price Cuts
- Phantasmal Images are rather expensive it could be worthwhile to change it to Phyrexian Metamorph or Clone.
The deck is designed for a Casual environment and shouldn't suffer too harshly from the added CMC.
- Sapphire Medallion can be a bit pricey. Consider using High Tide or Mistform Warchief for a cheaper solution.
- If you want to make further cuts Propaganda can be exchanged for Dissipation Field.
- Sulfur Falls may take up a larger sum of the total cost of the deck, especially with the arrival of Return to Ravnica and Izzet enthusiasts. Fortunately the same set provides us with Izzet Keyrune at a much more affordable price, or Izzet Guildgate if you prefer it staying a land.
