Thanks for the response. I agree with illusionist bracers but Wound Reflection doesn't affect its controller which is very handy. I think that may be why it has a high CMC.

Alright MH2 update. For me I feel like Grief is the only auto include for instant speed discard. I will test Tourach of course as well as Dauthi Voidwalker. I will also test the new Goyf which seems good with its madness cost but Noetic scales really hurts it. I am actually thinking Dauthi and Tourach have much more of a permanent spot BECAUSE of Noetic scales.
Thoughts Zaz?

Tainted Aether is a good cut. I love love love the card but it was hindering me far more than helping after some of the more recent changes like adding Tergrid etc.

Hey MrNoodlesworth, sorry for the super late reply. I haven’t had a chance to play much lately due to work. I added Grief (cutting Inquisition of Kozilek ), Dauthi Voidwalker (cutting Planar Void ), and Tourach, Dread Cantor (cutting Tainted AEther as you suggested, since I’m running more creatures). I added additional Planeswalker removal in the form of Baleful Mastery and Murderous Rider , since lately I have had difficulty dealing with them. To make room I cut Slaughter Pact and Force of Despair . I also swapped Thought Vessel for Reliquary Tower so I can have infinite hand size for 0 mana. Sometimes I needed infinite hand size but didn’t have the 2 mana to spend on Vessel.

Yeah I was running into that same problem with thought vessel zazen. Reliquary tower has been working way better and with the additional creatures and planewalker removal at least for me the deck has become a ton stronger love the updates man I look everyday to see what changes you make zazen!

Thank you very much Nyrmak!!! I’m glad you like where the deck is going. I feel like it is definitely stronger now with these recent additions.
MrNoodlesworth, I forgot to mention that now Dauthi Voidwalker combos with Helm of Obedience along with Leyline of the Void . Now the Helm combo is twice as likely to pull off, and Voidwalker is easier to cast than Leyline.
I’m also experimenting with Volrath's Stronghold (since I am no longer running Planar Void or Relic of Progenitus and am running more creatures now), as well as the new Profane Tutor (which is slow due to suspend, but when cast during the early turns is very useful for setting up a combo or tutoring for removal). To make room I cut Night of Souls' Betrayal since I am running Tourach, Dread Cantor .

Love the changes you've made! I need to pick up a Dauthi Voidwalker before it becomes too expensive...

Night of souls betrayal is a must have for me. It shuts down so much in my meta. I haven’t cut planar void because I like it’s interaction with Tergrid. For me I have 2 paths during the game. Leyline/helm or void/Tergrid. I am contemplating if I want to keep it going like this or ditch planar void. If that happens I change a lot. Like adding Yawg will back in for one and other potential recursion. Not at this point yet though. I like having multiple styles in one deck that both work effectively. Dauthi is a controlled leyline of the void in that situation so it’s perfect. So damn good.

Thanks abby315!! Definitely need to pick up a few Dauthi Voidwalker soon! They are ridiculously good.
MrNoodlesworth, I am still debating whether to keep Planar Void. I need to test this latest version more. The recursion cards I’m running for now are Buried Ruin, Volrath's Stronghold, and Yawgmoth's Will, plus tutors to find those cards. I don’t think the deck needs much more than this. Wiping my own graveyard was something I learned to adapt to with Planar Void, but being able to bring back a card every now and then is a minor plus. It doesn’t make or break the deck. Tergrid, God of Fright Flip still works as an alternative win-con on her own.

I feel like Maralen of the Mornsong is a really good option for your build. I noticed you were running "Op. Agent" and it makes a lock with her. Varragoth is another option to play alongside Opposition Agent.

Hi MLS91, thank you for your suggestions!
Maralen of the Mornsong does combo well with Opposition Agent. However, by herself she is dangerous because she kills my card advantage with Tinybones (“Players can’t draw cards”) and will grant each opponent a card of their choice before my next turn. So I would never want to play her unless I have Opp Agent in hand already. Plus if both Mary and Opp Agent are in play, Opp Agent can be removed easily, and then I’m stuck with Mary and her drawbacks.
Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire is ok but is essentially a 5-mana delayed tutor, assuming it survives until the turn after I play it. It is strictly worse than most tutors unless I have Opp Agent in play. So for now, Mary and Vary are staying on the Maybeboard :)

Might I suggest using accordions in your primer? Took me a bit longer than expected to scroll down to the comments. (Although I must say: it is nonetheless well-written.)

Thanks EVEN-ELITE! Honestly I have tried to format accordions, but I haven’t been able to figure it out lol!

I've been playing your deck for awhile now. I wanted to know if you plan to update it again?
August 22, 2022 10:43 p.m.
Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve caught up with MtG, but I plan on updating this deck soon. There are lots of interesting new cards in the latest sets which may synergize well with Tinybones. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

I look forward to the updated list. I've been playing the deck for quite awhile now and have really enjoyed the deck. A lot of people have complemented the deck and some have even went and built it themselves.

Hey Fat_old_guy and Awdiehl7, I’m currently testing some major changes. The list and Primer are now current. I’ll be preparing an update soon with more details. :)

I look forward to the updates. I just changed my list to the most current one. Only played 2 games so far. Won one and lost one. I tend to get 3v1ed when I play the deck a lot of the time. So becomes more challenging. Deck runs great, I tend to get attacked a lot when I play the deck. My locals is heavily creature based.

Awdiehl7, thanks for the comments! I’m constantly tinkering with the deck and I’d love to hear more feedback as you continue playing with it.
As soon as your play group realizes how powerful the deck really is, you immediately become the arch-enemy lol. If your meta is creature-heavy, try to stick Ensnaring Bridge, No Mercy, or Noetic Scales early to slow them down. Lately I’ve been running Bridge and The Meathook Massacre. You can also run Bile Blight, Black Sun's Zenith, and Innocent Blood in place of Dismember, Night's Whisper, Planar Void, or something else.

I'll have to try the meathook massacre. Necropotence is something I'm not a huge fan of in this deck. Usually I can get established card draw other ways and having to pay life and wait a turn rotation isn't always the best in this deck, since other cards require life to use. The only other card I don't Like all the time is praetors grasp. The ability to take away a combo piece or maybe grab a tutor can be decent at times but I find the cards in my deck are just better to play rather than what my average opponent has It's definitely situational, just not sure if I'd want it over another card most of the time. Everything else I'm liking right now.

Soon I'll have the deck looking very nice. Just ordered European swamps and currently looking for a beta dark ritual for the deck. I'll have to post a picture of it once I get the last few cards
December 26, 2022 1:16 a.m.
I'm inclined to agree, but there isn't much card draw in the deck. As such, even though you expend even more life and only get the cards the following turn, it is still better than having to topdeck. There is also a smidge of lifegain in the deck the mitigate all of the lifeloss. Lastly, having Necropotence get around chains is beautiful way to break parity.
zAzen7977, how has Castle Locthwain worked for you? Is it usually pay 3 mana tap, draw a card, lose a life? Like a mini phyrexian arena of sorts (at best) that doesn't take up a slot. Do you often find yourself using it's ability?
December 26, 2022 2:54 a.m.
Speaking of draw, Skullclamp might be worth considering. While you only have 3 creatures, it acts as a deterrent to kill your commander or at the very least, provides you with draw that you might need should you feel you are lacking.

Hey DrValium! Glad you like the deck, thanks!!
No I hadn’t considered Illusionist's Bracers or Wound Reflection , but these are interesting suggestions!
The Bracers can potentially double Tinybone’s damage potential. My only complaint is that it’s expensive at 5 total mana to get it going. I could have used that mana to get a shot in with Tinybones before he’s removed. But at least the Bracers stick around if I lose Tinybones and I can re-attach it.
Reflection is interesting too, but it’s also expensive mana-wise and hurts me with Ad Nauseam and Dark Confidant . It would double my damage output with Tinybones and other cards like Painful Quandary and Professor Onyx .
I’ll do some testing and see if they are worth the mana investment. Do you have any suggestions for cards to swap for the above, or any further insight? :)
