Bant Merfolk Tribal to try to include as many fun merfolk as possible.

Derevi works well as a Commander due to the tap/untap combos it can make with different Merfolk, and also she has Wizard tribal synergy.

One possible infinite combo this deck includes uses Stonybrook Schoolmaster and Intruder Alarm combined with anything that allows you to tap a creature, such as Azami, Lady of Scrolls or Drowner of Secrets . This can result in a large amount of merfolk tokens, or, with Drowner, the option to just mill out your opponents.

Another usual win condition is to just flood the board with merfolk using Cryptic Gateway or Genesis Wave and having as many merfolk lords out as possible for a large, unblockable attack. Mirror Entity and Coat of Arms help with this strategy the most.
