I've been collecting standard cards for short awhile but haven't really gone competitive yet, looking to make a deck that can really shine in a tournament atmosphere.
I started laying out this setlist since
Erebos's Titan
was released in origins and luckily was able to trade or pull most of the cards, the Theros cards I had laying around from awhile ago. Just need one Titan and more languishes would be preferred.
turns usually go as followed, if not the deck can adapt really quickly to get back on curve
Turn 1: Bloodsoaked Champion < Thoughtseize
Turn 2: swing Bloodsoaked Champion, revive if needed.Thoughtseize or use Bile Blight if something like Managorger Hydra dropped.
Turn 3: Master of the Feast < situational Fleshbag Marauder < Liliana, Heretical Healer
*
Turn 4: Titan of Erebos < Languish < Situation Demonic Pact***
Turn 5: Anything is a good option at this point, Another Titan, Gray Merchant of Asphodel if you have the devotion, Whip of Erebos for lifelink, Languish if you wanna cut their field down
Dark Petition is really interesting because with the spell mastery active, 5 mana can search out and play Hero's Downfall, Fleshbag Marauder to proc Liliana, Heretical Healer
, can tutor Liliana, Heretical Healer
or more heavy air support with Master of the FeastFor 6 mana and spell mastery Dark Petition can tutor and play
Erebos's Titan
, Languish or Whip of Erebos.
- -situational fleshbag being if they have something that needs to go before Languish is played and only one creature to sac, turn two bile blight can clear that up, or hasty blocks to Bloodsoaked Champion
**- Liliana, Heretical Healer
is very fragile, and you'd most likely want to drop her later to avoid her early removal
***- Demonic Pact is a very risky card, being that from the time you play it you only have three playable turns after its played. it'll easily get you the lead and be able to close out the game easy if conditions are right, but still extremely risky. priorities I use are Draw two cards < opponent discards 2 cards < deal 4 dmg to target creature or player and gain 4 (unless it'll close out earlier)
I'm looking forward to hearing any suggestions about what are some good ideas to put in or take out
