I see the reason for the Hangarback Walker but cutting Titan's for Lightning Bolt seems like it would make Titan's Presence less likely to work... hmmmm as I'm new to Tron could you explain the changes a bit?

Lightning Bolt is the cheapest most efficient burn in all of modern. An alternative would be Galvanic Blast. Hangarback Walker is a allstar in tron. Once you have your combo, you can play him big, but if you don't he provides 2 turns of chump blocking between him and his tokens.

Am considering swapping All Is Dust for the Titan's Presence since Tron can turn on All Is Dust Turn 3 it might be better then a card that needs me to have a titan in hand to work... what do you think?

That's true. I've never seen All Is Dust in tron, but I could see it working.

In tron, Oblivion Stone, Wurmcoil Engine, Karn Liberated and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon are your bombs. You only ever have 1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and no other eldrazi. You tutor it up with Eye of Ugin, which should only be as a 1 of. Forest and Mountains need to go for Grove of the Burnwillows and Ghost Quarter. You should only have 1 forest. Eldrazi Temple is a waste of space, tron only needs around 20 lands. Hedron Archive and Mind Stone are both kinda pointless. Ancient Stirrings and the full set of Chromatic Stars are imperative. Pyroclasm is the only burn spell Tron should be using.
Beyond that you do have about 3 or so flex spots. Spellskite can be used, Relic of Progenitus, Sundering Titan and Platinum Angel are also other cards one might consider.

Thanks for all the suggestions! That's a whole pile o money right there... i'll have to look into some of those

Why Mind Stone over Ancient Stirrings? I assume yeh have some from that duel deck or something?
Doesnt seem to be running them itself, so there must be a reason.. but Id recommend Relic of Progenitusx2 and as many Oblivion Stone as you can afford otherwise.

Honestly I had forgotten about Ancient Stirrings and I like Mind Stone because it allows me to cast any of the 10 mana Eldrazi on turn 4 with an Eye of Ugin but Ancient Stirrings I definitely need to try.

An interesting interaction I just noticed is that All Is Dust's cost gets reduced by Eye of Ugin

Alright I'm making changes to the main deck based on suggestions given. I'm not including Planeswalkers yet because I don't have any. But will update as I get them and the Wurmcoil Engines let me know how you think it will preform as is. It's tested pretty well so far for me but I haven't had a chance to test vs higher teir decks yet.

I can appreciate anyone who wants to do G/B Tron. My build is a bit different from yours. Take a look at it; maybe you can get something for your deck out of it.

I like your take on it. I'm a bit leary of deathcloud because of the heavy cost in black mana. But it looks like fun!

Hi guys I was doing some browsing through Planeswalkers and I discovered Garruk, Apex Predator now it got me to thinking if he might be a budget option to Karn Liberated. Obviously Karn Liberated is a far better card but it is also far more expensive... what do you think? Viable budget option? Or no point on considering it?

Garruk will be coming down at most turns 4/5, I hope you realize that. It is too slow because of the mana cost. Tron does not want to run anything that has a mana cost of more than one coloured mana.

Yea I do. It just that a playset of Garruk, Apex Predator costs less then a single Karn Liberated I have the whole rest of the deck minus the Karn Liberateds hence why I was wondering if Garruk, Apex Predator could be a budget option.

Here's a thing in modern, do not build budget decks of already established archetypes. They will not work. If you wish to build budget, build something completely different no one has seen before, and win with it. In fact, that is how all the top decks became so expensive. Jund used to be a deck based off of cheap dollar rares that no one thought was playable. Use this idea when making new decks.

To be very honest I've never played competitively before, all of the FNM I've been to have always been drafts. So advice like that is kinda helpful I just like a little more explanation because I'm new to the idea of competitive play. It's just something I've always wanted to do. So a rogue deck is a better idea to try eh? Hmmmm

A rogue deck if you are going budget yes. But mainly if you know what you are doing. You are better off learning the format buy buying into a pre-defined deck and learning that deck and learning your match-ups. As making a rogue deck and then trying to learn the modern format is much harder as in order to make a rogue deck effective, you need to have intimate knowledge of the kinds of things that can stay or go in modern.
Some of the budget decks in modern that you can play effectively are Zoo, Boggles, GR Tron, Bloom Titan, Assault Loom and Living End.

I've been going for G/x Tron because I've got all the lands and the artifacts minus the Grove of the Burnwillows for it. So it was the easiest of the modern "shells" to work with. I'm hoping to get Karn Liberated over time but need something to fill the slot till I can get him. Hence my wondering about Garruk

Abrupt Decay and Drown in Sorrow seems like they both would be really hard to cast. I would just rely on 4x o-stone in the main. Ostone hits everything and you don't really need other sweepers. Especially once you get tron online and get out emrakul.

Wow I just realized I forgot to do an update... whoops yea decay and sorrow are now out as I dropped the Llanowar Wastes from the deck. What do you think of the build as it is now?
The_Dragonmaster says... #1
Cut all of the titan's down to 1x. Add Lightning Bolt and Hangarback Walker.
