@Snagdurkle: Thalia, Guardian of Thraben doesn't really work very well in a deck that is mostly non creature spells, it would hinder me more than my opponent unfortunately.

Ahhhh I love when I have good advice. I hope that it goes well for you. It is especially funny when you are playing a nonwhite deck, they pay the life, and then you Path to Exile their attacker, so they just paid the life and lost the creature.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite!! That card will do some work for you. Ghostly Prison is also a pretty sweet card.

I don't really have room for Ghostly Prison and I prefer to have Norn's Annex and Archangel of Tithes instead.

Ghostly Prison is considerably better than Norn's Annex. It drops on turn 3 without losing you 4 life, and costs 2 mana per creature - no matter what. It's almost always worthwhile to pay 2 life to attack with any creature with power 3 or more, and it's often sensible to attack with a 2-power.

Looks interesting for sure! Although I think you need affinity hate. Stony Silence and or Revoke Existence in the SB?

Iona, Shield of Emeria could work as a solid finisher. Either that or Sun Titan or any of the eldrazi titans.
November 22, 2015 9:51 a.m.
Sun Titan is amazing indeed. He can get back a Ghost Quarter and trust me, eventually they will run out of basics. A lot of modern decks have no more than 6 basics and some have even less. Getting back Ghost Quarter every turn is very nice. Especially when you have Ghostly Prison or Norn's Annex out.

@Wizard_of_the_Broke: I will finally capitulate and put in Ghostly Prison! I guess it is better to just keep them off their mana then to shock them when they attack.
@Hallowed_Titan: I'll probably throw in Disenchant because it's an instant and can be put on Isochron Scepter but thanks!
@Green_Ghost: I think I will side Iona, Shield of Emeria and main a couple of Sun Titans.
@kengiczar: I think I can handle throwing in a playset of Ghost Quarters. Also, as said above,I shallthrow in a couple Sun Titans!
Thank you all so much!

Have you done any testing? Even if it's just with t/o play tester?
November 22, 2015 12:37 p.m.
Havok.Bane says... #16
So I only use T/O on my phone, mostly because I don't have a computer, but the tester doesn't work so well on my phone and I don't have it all on paper quite yet, so all I've done is test opening hands.

I feel like Mana Tithe is a bit of an uphill battle if you are planning to use it with Isochron Scepter. Simply because you are paying 2 mana to make them pay 1 mana. Ethereal Haze Might work better with Luminarch Ascension. or Judge Unworthy. Your average mana cost is around three, so Judge not only allows you to set up your card draw, but can potentially Lightning Bolt whatever tries to hit you once they get through your walls (or the first thing that tries to hit you if scepter is your first line of defense for the game). Not only that, but if they pay all that mana to get through your tithes just to swing with a giant creature, you have 4 chances to deal 7 damage to it, 2 chances to deal 6 damage to it, and on top of that you multiply by three because you get to scry first!
But that is just my opinion. I play mostly blue, so card draw is important to me. And also, I enjoy the thought of your opponent's face when they finally have enough mana to swing with a Elderscale Wurm or something huge, knowing you have no way to kill it because you have only tithes, and then out of freaking no where you deal 7 damage to it and kill it!

@AndrewW: So I do have Path to Exile for removal but I gotta say Judge Unworthy does seem interesting and I'll do some tests. With Ethereal Haze, if I did put a 1 drop fog it would be Holy Day for flavor reasons, and I do have Dawn Charm that fogs as well as other things. I do like Mana Tithe for the early game but not really to be put on the scepter for sure. I'm going to think on what you've said and test it.

Leonin Arbiter could slow down people with fetchlands a great deal. This essentially turns every fetchland into a dead draw.
December 2, 2015 10:28 p.m.
Rule of Law, is a fave of mine in my cat decks because you slow them down. Sure it works on you but you can play one spell on their turn as well.

What should I take out though? Or should I sideboard it?
December 3, 2015 12:53 a.m.
I have it in my sideboard with that Stony Silence . I put it in if they are spell heavy or I want to be annoying. I love that isochron but you don't seem to have a good instant for it , like being able to do Path to Exile more is awesome but its one more. Dang I love this stalling .

I would suggest Judge's Familiar as it is a beater with benefits, you can get damage in while sacing it to counter their early game digging spells (Serum Visions, etc.). It can even be a good chump blocker later game.
December 3, 2015 10:08 a.m.
I would drop 3 Plains and 1 Emeria, The Sky Ruin for 2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and 2 Weathered Wayfarer for additional mana production and land security. I also feel that you could replace Mana Tithe for Rebuff the Wicked as your permenants would be what you would desire most to protect. That being said you could also benefit from some stronger early game pillow fort-ing action via Storage Matrix and Windborn Muse.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I was busy in gp oakland, with Mana Tithe I have been meaning to take it out because it has underperformed, and I was was thinking of putting in Holy Day because what I need to protect is my life total so that I can last long enough for Luminarch Ascension to get enough counters, but Rebuff the Wicked is a good idea as well. The reason I have so many lands is because I need upwards of 10 lands to play effectively and getting those last lands are hard, Weathered Wayfarer is better for earlier but I quickly get more lands than my opponent unfortunately.
