Modern voltron. This deck utilizes tempo, small creatures, and equipment to cause all sorts of problems for the opponent.

Primer

Most of the choices in here are self explanatory, but I run the SOI reveal-lands because shocking all the time would hurt, and I run one of each basic in case of a GQ hit or a Path to Exile.
Sigarda's Aid: This little enchantment gives the deck an unbelievable boost on tempo. Equipments are normally a two-turn investment--one turn to cast, and another to equip--but Sigarda's Aid not only allows you to skip right over equip costs, it lets you cast equipment on your opponent's turn. All in all, this is unbelievable value for .

Basilisk Collar: Deathtouch and lifelink. Need I say more? This deters blockers and attackers like no other. Deathtouch makes the equipped creature as big as it needs to be to take down anything, and having lifelink tacked on is just icing on the cake. Mini Wurmcoil Engine, amirite?

Batterskull: Curve topper and finisher for the deck. Batterskull gives value straight away with its living weapon ability, and then goes on to buff other creatures through the roof. Once again, a combination of two great abilities, vigilance and lifelink, is nothing to sneeze at.

Sword of Body and Mind: This sword is all sorts of goofy and dangerous. Milling ten and getting a 2/2 token with one hit is ridiculous, not to mention a +2/+2 buff. This sword is just straight value.

Sword of Fire and Ice: The most popular of the Sword of X and Y cycle, and for good reason. Protection from makes protection from some of the best cheap removal, coughcoughLightning Boltcough and getting to Shock and draw a card upon a connection with a player is spectacular. Card advantage is one of the most important things in Magic, and this sword provides it.

Sword of War and Peace: On terms of removal protection, this sword is an all star. Not only does it prevent removal like the aforementioned bolt, but it stops things like Path to Exile or Pacifism. You name it, this sword probably protects it. And the connection bonus just crazy. Disregarding regular comabt damage, this sword has potential to create a lifeswing of 14. Think about that for a second.

Birds of Paradise: Mana fixing since Limited Edition Alpha.

Knight of the Reliquary: For three mana, the Knight provides a lot of value. First off, her tap ability is spectacular. If you don't have the proper colors for whatever you need to cast, she provides cycling for your lands that are in play. In addition to fixing colors, that tap ability also powers the Knight of the Reliquary up. Fetchlands and cycling your lands give the knight +1/+1 for each land, making her a potentially undercosted beater.

Mirran Crusader: A weenie all star. He gets around removal, undesirable blockers, and has double strike. Double strike! When given a big sword, the Crusader can lay down the hurt. And only for . It doesn't get much better than that.

Noble Hierarch: Not only does the Noble Hierarch provide all the colors that are needed for this deck, but her exalted trigger has potential to win games. There's a reason Noble Hierarchs go for $47.99 a pop.

Reflector Mage: A devastating tempo play. Not only does he bounce a creature which is wonderful, but he makes sure that same creature doesn't come out for another turn. Having a 2/3 body attatched to all of that value is pretty nice as well.

Serum Visions: Card advantage for days. A cantrip, and then getting to set up your next draws is pretty nice for just .

Collected Company: This card doesn't require much introduction. Coco is capable of hitting every creature in this deck, and isn't being run in a full playset only because creatures only take up about 20% of the deck.

Path to Exile: Cheap. Effecient. Hits almost any creature it wants to. Path to Exile is a staple of modern removal, and that's why it's being run.

Remand: One of the best tempo based cards around. Remand bounces a spell if you're unprepared, and then proceeds to replace itself. While not a hard counter, Remand gives a big advantage.

Vapor Snag: Pings your opponent and bounces a creature that may have slipped past Remand. Vapor Snag is to the point and effecient.

Blighted Agent: The element of surprise is dangerous, and siding in a couple of these bad boys will have your opponent reeling, realizing that they have no way of stopping the spread of perfection (poison counters).

Krosan Grip: Removes pesky artifacts and enchantments, and has the bonus of being nigh uncounterable or respondable to.

Mana Leak: Sometimes a Remand just isn't enough to deal with a spell. Mana Leak is a cheap counterspell that will permanently deal with a large threat, something that Remand just can't do.

Melira, Sylvok Outcast: For the infect matchup, and really nothing else.

Obstinate Baloth: Life boost, a large body, and gets around discard like nobody's buisness. Turn Liliana of the Veil's +1 into an advantage.

Ojutai's Command: A versatile little spell. It brings back dorks, gains life, draws cards, and counters spells. A toolbox all for .

Sword of Feast and Famine: Hand disruption and giving you a whole new beginning upon your second main phase is pretty crazy. Stick this on a Blighted Agent and go to town.

Sword of Light and Shadow: Too much removal? Need more life? This sword can help out with both of those issues. Of course, it buffs and protects as well, like any good sword.

Thrun, the Last Troll: Gets around just about everything. Targeted removal, board wipes, counterspells, and small creatures. A house of a creature.
