I see a couple of ways you can make tokens, but I am having a hard time conceptualizing how your plan for making a lot of tokens. Could you explain your approach.

It seems heavy on creatures, I would cut out a lot of those and put in spells that can grant your tokens the same benefit. For example Spidersilk Armor gives your creatures reach, so you can take out any creatures with the ability of reach.

I have a simple mono green token deck that uses Spawnwrithe , you can check that out for some ideas. This is the best I can think of at this time.

First off, you're running a tiny little artifact sub-theme in this deck that doesn't accomplish much. I would take out the Darksteel Brute , Steel Wall and Fangren Marauder .

Next up, your mana costs are high. I would normally say to pull out fatties like Kalonian Behemoth to make your gameplay more reliable, but since this is a casual deck, I would recommend adding more mana boys. Help your Llanowar Elves with some Elvish Archdruid and some Arbor Elf , Fyndhorn Elves or Elvish Mystic . The Archdruid is more unnecessary than the others.

Thirdly, being a token deck, you don't actually have much token generation. You want to add things like Fungal Sprouting or Jade Mage . Another thing you could do is add a bit of an enchantment subtheme, by putting 4x Fists of Ironwood and a few Dreampod Druid , as well as a couple Elephant Guide . If you want to pay a few bucks more, look into Parallel Lives for even more tokens. Beacon of Creation , Call of the Herd , Kazandu Tuskcaller and Ant Queen could also be fun.

Finally, group buffs are great with tokens. Vigor is a fantastic choice, as is Overrun . Running big guys like Kalonian Behemoth makes Overwhelming Stampede powerful, too, and you can never go wrong with Gaea's Anthem .

Hope this was helpful :)

Would a Coat of Arms be of good use to me in this deck if I try to stick to a certain token type?

Coat of Arms almost would work, you got elfs, druids, shaman, and human as sub types. If you could get all to share just one sub type it would be a whole lot more beneficial to put in Coat of Arms .

You mentioned earlier that you need help getting your creatures out, look into getting Green Sun's Zenith . Its a reusable tutor. You also are running three "4 ofs" in this so you might want to look into Doubling Chant . If you don't like those then try Worldly Tutor , this one is at least at instant speed.

If your going to run tokens and +1/+1 counters, then check out Primal Vigor . For one mana more you get both areas covered. This card is relatively cheap because it just came out. Naturally you would want a Doubling Season , but those are high in price. At least with Primal Vigor people will be less likely to remove it because they also benefit from it as well.

The next thing you should worry about is protecting your creatures from kill spells, either use Canopy Cover or Asceticism . This really is up to your play group, if you know your meta contains a lot of kill spells then put in cards to deal with that. My play group is more about soft control, so I don't worry about kill spells all the time. But I do have to worry about some kind of triggered ability or enter the battlefield effect.

Hope this helps.

well the mana production problem should be countered with the 8 Llanowar Elves (elvish mystic basically is the same thing) also since its about overwhelming with sheer number of creatures is Forced Adaptation necessary? i mean its a fantastic card, just seems out of place maybe replace it with another Parallel Lives and 2 more Forest that should definitely solve your mana problem too.

also. to bulk up your numbers you NEED Rhys the Redeemed you'll double your numbers each turn.

the reason I have forced adaptation is to make a turn 8 fungal sprouting extremely effective, and it also helps out overwhelming stampede

Avacyn's Pilgrim isn't standard anymore so Sylvan Caryatid would prooobably be its replacement.

I really love Selesnya Populate decks, so I have a good idea of how they should work (I actually have one myself though it's Modern instead)

Fury of the Conclave

These are my opinions so hopefully they can help you somewhat.:

1) Since you have quite a few 4 and 5 drops, I would recommend maybe another land? It depends if you have mana problems (which I doubt since you have some ramp creatures, just be careful if you heavily rely on them).

2) Have you considered Wayfaring Temple ? Very useful creature that can help populate and can get bigger with more tokens you creatures (or creatures in general) if you do consider that creature, I would also suggest Rogue's Gallery just for it, because it will assure damage, as well as token creation.

3) Selesnya Charm and Sundering Growth are useful cards, that should at least be in the sideboard if not in the main deck.

Other than that though, I really like your deck. +1 from me! =)
