This looks like it would be a VERY VERY VERY EASY 2-0 at FNM.

-2x Wake the Reflections for another 2xRootborn Defenses . Wake the Reflections is very weak, and you definitely need defenses against board wipes. Replace Naturalize with Sundering Growth .

I can see this struggling against fast aggro decks like the U/B heroic,

I know its not a token but have you considered Experiment One ?

I like the idea but I'm not sure what to remove. Each card in my deck is put in for a purpose. I put in the lifelink cards to help with Ajani's ult as well as delaying until there are too many tokens. Maybe the Fated Intervention s?

Experiment One is arse. Run Scavenging Ooze instead. If it's in your budget. 4x Voice of Resurgence would make this deck that much better. If u can't afford Voice, Wayfaring Temple is like the budget version.

Growing Ranks is a thing. Up to u if u want to run it.

I dropped the Fated Interventions and 1 Unflinching Courage and 1 Call of the Conclave to add 2 Growing Ranks and 2 Wayfaring temples

I'm actually going to take back two of the Growing Ranks and add the Unflinching Courage and the Call of the Conclave back in

Elspeth is a thing

I looked at her, but I'm trying to keep the whole deck under $50

I added 2x Sunbonds because of how much lifelink is in this deck

If you like tokens, check out my Bant token deck - http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/bant-walkers-20-02-14-2/

valendras, I like your deck. All my friends said that Kiora, the Crashing Wave was bad because she was came in with 2 counters, but she is amazing if you can delay for her ult.

By the way when I said I wanted the deck to be under $50 that is without land because shock land, scry land, and zendikar land is expensive

February 23, 2014 8:34 p.m.

valendras says... #17

Zendikar lands (fetches) aren't standard?

February 23, 2014 8:36 p.m.

1833me says... #18

Sorry valendras, Zendikar land as in the full-art land. It's $1 a-piece

A playset of Advent of the Wurm , Growing Ranks , Unflinching Courage , and 3 or so Trostani, Selesnya's Voice will be almost unstoppable. Also consider finding some room for Loxodon Smiter , maybe take out the Gift of Orzhova and Sunbond .

Pemdas77 I dropped the Gift of Orzhova s and the Sunbond s and added one more Unflinching Courage and 2 more Growing Ranks . I would have added one more Advent of the Wurm , but I remembered that I am trading for an Elspeth, Sun's Champion this Friday so I added her in instead. Thank you for your suggestions, hopefully this should deck should start taking higher places at FNM

Cool, good luck. My friend got 2nd at FNM one night recently with his Selesnya token deck that doesn't top $50. Its a way underplayed, budget, and overpowered deck.

Pemdas77 Thank you

Why not cut one or two Growing Ranks ...seems like a 4 drop I wouldn't want multiple of in the opening hand? I've been toying with some token decks online and trying to find the right combo so was wondering how having that many has worked for you?

lessthanthree24 In my current version of the deck I only have two and they work just fine. Now that I think about it 4 seems excessive. What do you think I should add in?

March 7, 2014 12:34 a.m.

Not sure, check out the Token deck I played tonight, really enjoy playing it. Starts out pretty slow but blows up fast if they don't have a ton of removal (and actually did pretty well against a R/G deck with plenty of removal...)
