Since you aren't running black I'd replace Lingering Souls with Midnight Haunting . It's instant speed so you can ambush after they announce their attack which can be an advantage, or at least drop them at EOT so they can attack right away. Also if you can pick up one or two Parallel Lives it'd work pretty nice in this deck. And maybe a Gavony Township or two would have a home here as well, probably in place of Grove of the Guardian which in my experience almost never goes off.

Thanks actiontech for the suggestions. I do like the idea of putting in the Midnight Haunting instead. The Instant is a nice bonus.

Surprisingly Grove of the Guardian I have executed it's ability a few times already and the 8/8 Elemental has come in very handy to help finish off a match. Especially when it turns to a 10/10 with counters.

Well, they aren't "Counters", just merely buffs from other cards. BUT, I would remove the Phantom General and plave two Advent of the Wurm in his spot, if you can, i understand its a Budget. And maybe a Trostani, Selesnya's Voice like you said.
