I like it +1! I would recommend Sagu Mauler to replace 2x Avalanche Tusker, mostly because of trample and hexproof, and also because I used to run tusker and came to the conclusion that it would be better as a 4/6 than a 6/4 because it gets killed relatively easily. Another addition could be Clever Impersonator, he is super versatile. Check out my deck The Temur Frontier Deck it may give you some ideas.

I would take out Savage Knuckleblade and put in Young Pyromancer. He is a house, and suites your curve.

allthingsMTG: The Tarmogoyf is a wonderful card, and the Hooting Mandrills is a great card, BUT They the Goyf rewards you for keeping a full graveyard, and the Hooting Mandrils is working against the goyf.

Recommendation: The Tarmogoyf > Hooting Mandrills

Marcus_Licinius_Crassus I have seen a variant of this deck that runs both cards, along with Thought Scour to great effectiveness. And this deck has done well in testing, I have had no problems with it at all, because Thought Scour hyperactivates Hooting Mandrills. The monkeys are staying lol. wnorris17 i have been testing knuckleblade as another lategame beater, he has been doing decent so far, if he starts underperforming then he will get the axe.

Hey man, I just loved the concept of the deck and had to do something to it. I don't have access to the all the money to make this deck so I made it "budget". I hope it doesn't offend in any way, and I reference you to give you full credit for it!

Undoubtedly a +1 and I will follow this deck!

Copy of an awesome deck.

Tomazinhal thanks man, yeah I don't care. You can copy and change my deck if you want.

I think Scooze, Goyf, and Mandrills is a bit greedy. I would also find room for Probe. Triggers pyromancer, feeds mandrils, pumps goyf.

LeaPlath scooze is for mainboard answers to grindy midrange decks. Could probably find a different card to put in. Don't forget probe can flip delver if it is revealed. It might be worth adding probe...

I think taking out the Burst Lightning, Deprive, and 1-2 Hooting Mandrills for 3-4 probes would be worth it. That many mandrills is too greedy without probes in the first place and cutting one or two is worth it.

I like the Anticipate change, but not the forked bolt change.

Abbot of Keral Keep is also a really good card.

SwaggyMcSwagglepants why not the forked bokt? After testing it seems infinitly better g1 then spell snare.

September 23, 2015 12:17 a.m.

Too many Forked Bolts is bad new bears. You'll just draw too many and hate yourself. Also, they ARE sorcery speed.

Have u seen Patrick Chapin's Temur Prowess List? Look at Abbot vs Snapcaster and scroll down

SwaggyMcSwagglepants however will I hate myself? They can be sent at players so if I don't have any creatures to kill I can hit the opponent

It's your deck, do what you want...?

I just know I think they are a necessary evil in these kind of lists, and I personally dislike them in my Delver list.

SwaggyMcSwagglepants I understand that you dislike it, but I don't know what to do with that information since your list is and mine is completely different being and you didn't suggest anything else to replace it, since I don't think I want to trade any of my creatures for the abbot, and I have seen chapin's list, but his and mine have no correlation and half of the cards in his(except snappy) wouldn't work in mine. However thank you for your input.

No problem, I like to help!

If you wanted some card suggestions instead, if Tron is something in your area, mainboard Ghost Quarter?

If you can mill enough, Become Immense might be good.

Izzet Charm has been good, since it mills, counters, or burns. Simic Charm also seems good.

SwaggyMcSwagglepants the problem with Ghost Quarter is that I only have enough land slots to run the mix of colored sources that keep the deck afloat, 2 mainboarded Ghost quarter would be nice but I just don't think I can support it with my budget and mana base

September 23, 2015 8:43 p.m.

Theway I think of Ghost Quarter is a permanent w/ the abilities and a casting cost of "skip your next land drop." That's why I mainboarded it in my list. But, they still are different.

SwaggyMcSwagglepants I can try it but I would have to cut a mountain and maybe an island?

September 23, 2015 9:08 p.m.

Yeah, I think it's the right thing. I gives you a better tron matchup game 1, and in the case you'd consider running Surgical Extraction in your sideboard, you can side those in and WRECK tron.

And, even when u crack it, its a delve mana for the mandrils.

Great deck overall! The only concern I can really point out is with the Man-lands - since you're essentially playing aggro/tempo, I don't think you can afford to have lands come into play tapped. Decks like GB/x can afford doing it since they run 23-24 lands, and want to grind out the game.

September 28, 2015 7:41 a.m.

allthingsMTG says... #23

tchau204 mainly the reason I have it is so I can grind out the mirror and the B/G/X decks because we tend to flop in those match-ups, with the mirror being the more successful of the two. Cause when we don't need it we can keep it in our hand to bluff counter magic

September 28, 2015 12:56 p.m.

tchau204 says... #24

I feel like that's not really the best reason. In my experience with playing 21 lands and ~4 cantrips, the first 3 lands you draw are insanely important and can determine when your few creatures can survive the barrage of removal, or if you can apply pressure while holding up counter-magic to stop a turn 3 Liliana of the Veil, or a turn 4 Karn Liberated etc. You can't afford to have them come into play tapped because you're going to miss opportunity. The same reasoning applies to your Ghost Quarter, which doesn't provide you colored mana. Have you considered the times when you can't play a turn 3 Savage Knuckleblade? Granted, if you draw them later in the game, it'll work out for you, but why would you design a deck this way? The pay-off is not that big, and the risk is relatively large since this is tempo.

Sorry for the late response but tchau204 the temur variant of delver(which is what this is) is typically more midrangy than other delver variants
