Thanks for the comment Gspot. Yea I have been swapping the Woolly Thoctar in and out for the Loxodon Smiter . I'm considering making the swap permanent. Or even finding a few spots in the SB for a few smiters, when vs. Mono Black Control and such.

I haven't played anything competitive in a while, but if Jund and all the Rock strategies still run amok then the Smiters will pull their weight easily. Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers is another card to consider for a curve topper. Not best placed in Naya zoo, but can end games easily.

I have a competitive Knight deck that uses both of them lol. They are just a little to slow for this deck as you stated. But both are bad ass cards. Thanks.

Domri Rade Is something else to look into. A cheap walker that can refill your hand if you go into a late game.

+1 for a sweet budget Naya deck!
I'd say that Voice of Resurgence is a far better card than Burning-Tree Emissary , so if you have them I'd recommend swapping in Voice of Resurgence . I'm also not really sure why you have Alpha Authority in your sideboard. Is there a particular match up you plan to use that for? If so, what are you taking out for it? It seems to me that most of your creatures are weenie enough that if your opponent wants to bolt or chump block your Kird Ape , you should just play another one instead of an Alpha Authority .

Try Grafdigger's Cage , Torpor Orb , or Kataki, War's Wage in the sideboard.

Qasali Pridemage might make a good sideboard card. Check out my Naya deck , it's far more midrange, but is very similar!

Have you play tested the Smiters in the maybe-board? Getting plopped onto the field from a +1 off of Lilly is SUPER useful.
