I meant a 60 card deck that is similar and budget, sorry that wasn't clear.

michaelbears take out coat of arms, it's entire role in this deck is as a cheap sliver legion replacement

If you shuffle the general in with the deck, would this work as a good sliver highlander deck? or would you make some alterations?

A fun card to put in is door to nothingness. Good for a threat of keeping people off of you until you are ready to dominate. Especially if you're playing the wait game with dormant sliver

Daviddehass, I believe that it isn't as good. First off it breaks the number one rule: use overlord as commander. After that, I believe he has quiet a few more support spells then needed.

Why no Shadow Sliver? Shadow is flight n2... Actually probably even better, as there are fewer creatures with shadow than flyers... Now, land and protect shadow sliver, and all attackers are nearly unblockable...
I would add Primal Rage, Asceticism, and Spidersilk Armor as extra combat tricks; with so many slivers in this deck, Descendants' Path is also to be considered imho... As well as Distant Melody.
Unknown Shores is a cheap filterland. Also Meteor Crater with the general in play. And Summer Bloom with so many lands.
As for the optimal combination of wedgelands and shardlands, I would pack 5 among both, depending on mana needs... It is unlikely the mana needs are going to be 1/5 for each color... All 10 would add up for maximum flexibility, but at the cost of 10 taplands out of 39 lands; a high to typical ratio nowadays in Fate Reforged Standard metagame, but not sure in EDH...

I don't know why everyone likes Amoeboid Changeling so much. I prefer Unnatural Selection. That way you can 'Yoink' more than one creature a turn provided you have the mana. This is extremely fun with infinite mana combos like Mana Echoes + Sliver Queen (if you have it) and Aggravated Assault + Manaweft Sliver (or Gemhide + 5 other slivers).
Magma Sliver and Hunter Sliver don't seem to get a lot of consideration even though they strike total fear into the hearts of my opponents.
Plasm Capture is a useful counterspell which gives you a good boost of mana. (I once used it on my friend's Reaper King, which has a CMC of 10! Play my commander and Queen/Legion/Hivelord!)
I find that an may try to get rid of your Slivers as quick as possible. Eladamri's Call is a nice emergency tutor for Crystalline Sliver if I don't have Overlord out yet.
Harsh Mercy and Patriarch's Bidding are so in your favour. More Sliver decks need them!

I think, EvilGeekWasTaken, that people like Amoeboid Changeling because you can tutor it out.

One thing you could do is run both the changling and unnatural selection, tutor out the changeling, then play the enchantment when you get it. And as far as hunter and magma slivers, those are your personal opinion. I dislike hunter as I can find better slivets. As for the rest of the cards that is as well opinion. I for one like a heavier sliver deck, you might prefer a more support heavy. That's the fun of magic, we can change the decks however we want to fit our styles

EvilGeekWasTaken: Whilst I agree that Patriarch's Bidding is nice, for that mana I'd rather be playing Creeping Renaissance. More utility, less drawbacks and it has recursion of it's own (For a fairly hefty price, admittedly). Plus, the land-base is skewed ever so slightly towards green, so it's colours are more favourable too (The difference this makes is probably negligible, but still)

Hey Professor!
I've seen every vid since M15, when I started playing magic. Thank you for your comedic, insightful, informative, and entertaining videos. This deck and accompanying video is what got me thinking about slivers, which now comprise my primary Commander deck. I have listed some thoughts developed after playing this deck, notepad in hand, for the last couple of months, which I hope are of some use to you.
I assembled this deck and took notes while playing about thirty games with it before customizing any aspect of it. The primary issue that I had, stemmed from a lack of healing spells to deal with turn after turn of low-cost burn spells and waves of aggro creature attacks. This became even more of a problem as I upgraded to shock, pain, and fetch lands. Other issues included the obvious fact that getting access to a mana of each color is problematic. Even after dozens of games, I was never able to survive the first few rounds or avoid being the first player reduced to zero life.
The solutions that allowed me to win with this deck were minimal in regards to number of cards replaced and did not require high-cost cards. My first alterations to the deck list came when I picked up one of each of the M15 and M14 Slivers. These cards are very inexpensive, and they offer wide variety that allowed for a bit more customized deck. As I never found myself short on red mana, I added Tormenting Voice and Faithless Looting to pick up some additional card draw. Then, I tossed a Congregate in, to utilize the hordes of hostile creatures to gain life. I also added Darkheart Sliver and Syphon Sliver, which can be retrieved, and used for life gain, via tutoring through Overlord. Lastly, to help with the mana problem without taking away this deck's validity s a budget option, I decided to include some of the mana ramping cards from green, including: Exploration; Fertile Ground; and Harrow. As the deck already requires a higher amount of forests than other lands, the addition of these cards allowed me to keep the exact same mana base. Being able to tap a land for, not only an additional land, but one of a color of my choosing. I also would recommend using Command Tower and City of Brass to provide a slightly higher likelihood of having access to mana that is needed.
My less budget-oriented sliver deck that was inspired by this very deck can be found on this site under the name Overlord's Rath

Quick question, I'm assuming Darkheart Sliver is probably better than Victual Sliver?

Would running the Checklands (Isolated Chapel, Hinterland Harbor, etc) Be a good, cheap replacement? I run those in my Progenitus Commander deck and happen to speed past my opponents who end up running lands such as Shocks.

Jj4622: your choice. If you're willing to give up the 1 life for the 1 mana, do it.

Hey professer. Just wanted to let you know that the rules have changed so that tucking a commander puts him to the command zone if the owner so chooses.

Wow, never heard of that card but will definitely purchase it for my sliver deck, thanks!!

TolarianCommunityCollege First off, I have only recently(like since FRF) started watching you, but I wanted to thank you for your great and funny content. Anyways, do you think that the KTK trilands would be better than the panoramas, or should I run them over some basic lands

Professor, why not do a video about Tiny Leaders?
I designed a Slivers Tiny Leader deck, if anyone wants to let me know their thoughts on it, that would be nice.
The difficult bit was deciding on which commander to use. I went and chose my colours first based on slivers. Then out of the two possibilities for commander, I used the choice that isn't a total waste.

Professor, what do you think about replacing Terminate with a Putrify?

Would this still work fine with cluestones instead of signets?

What would you suggest taking out for sliver legion?
