Part 3 of my Black Commanders series! This deck is real close to my heart, as Toshiro Umezawa was one of the first creatures I ever played with in my first ever deck. Whenever I'm building a deck I often try and find a commander that's a little off the beaten track, as it's a lot more fun for me and my opponents to play against something new! Toshiro does the thing that I like doing most in Magic which is killing creatures with black kill spells.

The deck runs a lot of ways to keep the board clean (including the SWEET black Remove Soul Withering Boon), and usually wins the game through reanimating the best creature in your opponents' graveyard and going to town with it. The deck is somewhat light on win conditions, and often you can genuinely win with a Toshiro suited up with an Oathkeeper just dealing 5 at a time. The most reliable win condition is often Sphinx-Bone Wand, followed by a Cabal Coffers juiced up version of Torment of Hailfire.

The deck is a ton of fun if you like to keep the board under control and cast big long chains of kill spells. The deck has loads of ways to generate big mana, so it can be quite easy to 'go off' if you have a big graveyard.

OUT

1x Swamp

1x Desert of the Glorified

IN

1x Inkmoth Nexus - Another easy win now that Pike is in the deck

1x Terrain Generator - Sneaky mono-black ramp.

Both of these lands allow me to get a little more value from Mirrorpool as well as their standalone benefits.
