@Jp3ngu1nb0y Thanks! This is a really rough draft at the moment and I still don't know if I'd want to turn this into a Rakdos EDH, but I'll keep your suggestions in the sideboard.
The only thing so far is that I'm unclear on whether or not I can win quick enough with this deck, or that my win-con is defined well enough. I feel it's a bit weak on the creature side, but I main aggro without realizing it anyway.

Well, it won't win quickly. However, it doesn't need to. Efficiency is the most important.

Good point... but how about fat-trimming? I'm already at 70, but would like to include the Killing Wave and Barter in Blood .
Do you think this deck requires any stripping down or would you say the current size is acceptable?
April 12, 2013 9:24 p.m.
Well, it comes down to which way you want to lean more of this deck's two directions discard or choice making.
April 12, 2013 10:15 p.m.
i think i would just have Quest for the Nihil Stone not Shrieking Affliction . And I think i would add some Sign in Blood s to get to your cards faster or give opponents more cards to discard. a nice creature in a discard deck with or without the red in it is Nyxathid

I believe Syphon Mind might help you achieve what you're looking for. It's better in a multi-player environment and gives you card advantage as well.

@GriffinRider: Yep! Been looking at that one as well.

Thanks! I just think it needs chopping down in size. I'll mess with it later.

Terminate is really efficient creature removal for a small if restrictive price. Doom Blade , Go for the Throat and Murder are other obvious ones, while you may also like to consider alternatives such as Vendetta , Wrecking Ball , Dreadbore and others for variety or to suit your curve and needs.

Ah, Terminate was in my maybe board all along, and somehow it slipped my mind! I'd definitely go for some Dreadbore if I could cough up the extra cash...
Vendetta does seem like a great alternative, however. If I can keep my opponents creatureless until I can pull out the Lethal Vapors , I won't be too concerned at all with my life total.
Now all I need to do is figure out where to fit it in and what to take out. I'm thinking possible replacing the Dash Hopes that I just put in. Pity.
Oh well, thanks a bunch for the suggestions.

Good creature spot removal: Go for the Throat , Diabolic Edict , Dreadbore , Flame Slash , Dismember , and Black Sun's Zenith for board wipe. I would main board 4x Dragonskull Summit ...

I am planning on mainboarding Dragonskull Summit as soon as I can get my hands on a few. I think I'm going to try the Terminate / full Lightning Bolt experiment for the additional removal for now, but I'll keep your suggestions in mind.
Thanks!

Sure! Btw, a deck and sideboard can only contain 4 copies of one card. So if you have 2x Terminate in your deck, your sideboard can have a maximum of 2 more.
I would focus on board sweeps like Black Sun's Zenith , Slagstorm , and the like, as well as cards that have lots of value. Like Bloodhusk Ritualist , Gatekeeper of Malakir , Hypnotic Specter , Fleshbag Marauder , etc. Blightning is phenomenal, btw.
Also if you had card draw effects like Sensei's Divining Top , Sign in Blood , Phyrexian Arena , Underworld Connections , etc. you would gain card advantage. Besides Browbeat .

Rule of thumb is that anything that gives your opponent a choice is bad. Though if this a mostly casual deck, that's fine and actually pretty cool.

aeonstoremyliver: I know it may seem deceiving, but I'm using the sideboard as my acquireboard to track what I still need in this case due to Tappedout hiding the acquireboard from the deck's display. Thanks for the additional suggestions; they seem pretty good, albeit more expensive than what I'm trying to go for.
Blakkhand: Not if either choice is a win/win for you. :)

There is an article on why the choice cards are considered bad. But anyways I like it, it's a fun looking deck, so with speedy discard decks it seems a problem you will run into a lot is them running out of cards to discard, I suggest a little group hug, maybe a Temple Bell or Otherworld Atlas , even maybe Reforge the Soul they discard their hard and draw up to make them able to discard again. Or maybe Pain's Reward is more your style, they can draw, or you can draw. Either way 4 cards for 3 mana seems to help you out. Just some ideas. Wheel of Fate also

I'm not sure which cards you mean are considered bad... but I've actually not encountered that issue too much yet. I've had it once or twice (and actually prefer to be in that state) however, I'm thinking Burning Inquiry will put a damper on this a bit.
Thanks for the suggestions regardless. I'll look into them if I need a draw-machine.

Hey I'm glad you dug my build. I would suggest having more of the key cards like Lightning!, and maybe some more global removal like Killing Wave and Barter in Blood if you play group games a lot. But otherwise looks good man!
