baaablacksheep: Huh, I wonder what made it go up in price. But I will admit, this version is much more tuned, heh. I'd try and replace cards starting with the cheaper ones, but the most important thing to fix is the draw power of the deck. Most consistent draw is expensive (in terms of $$$), so that's the first thing I would try to improve from the budget version :)
Do you want a list of particularly important cards as well?

Daedalus19876 A list would be great! Also, if you could recommend maybe a few cards that you'd upgrade first that would be amazing. Thank you!

see I hear people say that about concordant all the time, but i don't play it unless i'm making my infinite tokens that turn, that way I can give them all haste and swing in for lethal.

LeonGraves123: The other problem is that if I play it that way, it's useless outside of the combo. And I try to only play combos whose pieces are useful on their own...

Zimmers_0: Hehe. I do what I can.
I must have the highest rated deck for every commander I play!
But no seriously, this deck is awesome :D Thank you so much for your ideas on it too, it wouldn't be nearly this good without your input.

It's a small addition, but maybe cut a forest for a Dryad Arbor, because sometimes you just want to cast GSZ for X=0 to pick up a mana dork.

Or just fight with an opponent's 1/1 if they have one.

gdm1989: Here, no. I'd rather play Toxic Deluge.
But it definitely has a home in my Yahenni, Undying Partisan deck!

Excellent, +1. Here are some other fun cards to consider here:
Crumbling Ashes, Lockjaw Snapper, Hunter of Eyeblights , Plaguemaw Beast sac snakes to make more snakes.
Then Collective Unconscious and Slate of Ancestry for more cards draw equal to the number of snakes you control...
I'm sure you've already considered Parallel Lives and the like...

Hello, I like your deck, I 've been playing this commander for some time and enjoying pretty much. I made a budget Hapatra, do you mind taking a look? Maybe giving me a few tips?A Lesson in Poison
What do you think of running Prowling Serpopard in this deck against f* counterspells?

HOPMONSTER: Thank you for your comment! Most of those have been in this deck at some point, but were removed for one reason or another. I would like to put Crumbling Ashes but it came out for Defense of the Heart currently. Lockjaw Snapper and Plaguemaw Beast were too conditional (they only worked if I had other sources of -1 counters), and Parallel Lives basically only works if I control my commander. And while I probably should find room for a bit more card draw, Slate of Ancestry always frustrates me when I try to put it into a list (8 mana for its effect?). Thanks for the comment, I always appreciate your insight! :)
slambamwam: I really need a dedicated token deck. This deck works okay without it, though - I just hate that often I tap out for a somewhat dead card.
Teufell: I'll take a look at your list! :) For the moment I'm not too worried about counterspells - Hapatra comes down T2 and dodges many early responses - but if you play in a counterspell-heavy meta Prowling Serpopard and Gaea's Herald could be really helpful!
gdm1989: I'll take a look at your list too :)
Thank you all for your comments!

Muushuu: Nah, she shuts down all of my combos. Ran her for a while, didn't like her at all, cut her. In particular, if my opponents don't have many creatures, she completely hobbles my deck.
I'll check it out when I get some time :) You're welcome to leave a +1 if you like my deck!

Spidersilk Armor? Presumably you're not running it because you don't need the reach.

Casey4321: It's a good card for this deck, but it's hard to open a slot in this deck. Eldrazi Monument does something of the same, though of course redundancy is always great. What would you cut for it, if anything?

Defiant Greatmaw seems like the first thing I see on the list that I question why it's really there.
Possibly Harbinger of Night as I am not a huge fan of forced counter placement either myself.

Casey4321: I've found Defiant Greatmaw to be really useful because of forced counter placement. If I control Harbinger of Night or cast Black Sun's Zenith, et cetera, the counter placed on Defiant Greatmaw removes the counter on Hapatra (assuming she didn't die as an SBA).
And while forced counter placement can be a pain, it's also one of our cheapest methods of mass -1 generation. I've found it to be worth it despite the downside, personally.

@Daedalus19876 I just purchased the extreme budget version of this deck. (It now costs about 40ish bucks btw) Can you recommend a path of some sort for replacing cards to get to this fully tuned deck? Im just not sure what to replace, whats most important etc. Thanks!
