Apologies for the double post but Concordant Crossroads has been helpful for those times I've had Ivy Lane + Hapatra + Devoted.

So far there were some good cards spoiled in hour of devastation that could be useful in the deck Torment of Hailfire, Mirage Mirror, Torment of Scarabs, Torment of Venom, Ammit Eternal, Driven//Despair Hour of Glory, and Rhonas's Last Stand

Daedalus19876: I think the only thing I would do is to put the Mike combo back since you already have hulk to fetch for the instant win. This will give you an alternate out to impossible games and mike is really good in your deck already.

Obelisk spider is going to be real fun for hapatra decks now

Hey friend, I'm updating my deck with yours. Tell me, do you intend to use any cards from hour of devastation with this deck? There some goood one's, such as the aforementioned spider by gdm1989 and hour of glory.

gdm1989 you have a hapatra deck right? So your thoughts are appreciated. I'm not so sure on how to procced with mine now with hOUR OF DEVASTATION COMING UP. I feel lost.

There are a lot of comments here!

I'll respond to them all in the morning :)

gdm1989: Thanks for highlighting those! I'm definitely including Driven / Despair and Ammit Eternal, and possibly including Torment of Venom. And of course Obelisk Spider is an auto-include haha (probably over Blood Artist?).

Enral: You're correct; I really need to acquire another Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.

Teufell: I'm honored you're using my deck as a template! I plan to include Driven / Despair, Ammit Eternal, and Obelisk Spider for sure. I'm indecisive about Torment of Venom...is it worth the mana cost? I'm also thinking about Lethal Sting (god, I wish that was an instant...)

I also need to update this deck into a proper primer soon! Stay tuned ;) and as always, thank you all so much for your thoughts and suggestions!

I would run Blood Artist as well daedalus as a backup plan Midnight Banshee could probably be replaced for the ammit eternal as for Torment of Hailfire it's to get rid of everything threatening Mirage Mirror can also be a back up

I'll test out my deck with these additions

but imo Midnight Banshee Serrated Arrows Splendid Agony Fume Spitter can go

gdm1989: While I do like redundancy, I honestly think that Torment of Hailfire is meh here. It's not a bad card, it just doesn't fit the deck's goals (since the deck doesn't generate too much mana).

I don't see Mirage Mirror fitting, at least. What should it copy within this deck?

My first cut might be Incremental Blight TBH...I'll think further on it.

gdm1989 says... #16

The Incremental Blight should stay in my honest opinion I went against a Samut, Voice of Dissent deck. That card saved me multiple times also it's also a good way to stop a few eldrazi titans reason I mentioned Mirage Mirror is there may be times where we either

a. want to create a extra mana rock in case the deck get mana screwed.

b. If a opponent brings out a creature or resource v that can destroy everything so why not use it as a insurance policy?

Daedalus19876, I've been using Prowling Serpopard on my deck for quite some time to protect myself from pesky counters. What do you think of it ?

By the way, could you take a look at my deck and comment on what you think of It?A Lesson in Poison

So I've really enjoyed my Hapatra deck but with The Scorpion God being a thing and more than a few -1/-1 counters available from red I've started a side project. Thought maybe if I got another pair of eyes I could decide if it is worth pursuing WAAAAAAAGH Of The Graveborn. At this point I don't have much to say about it, still very work in progress.

Howdy,

Really like the deck, and was wondering if you could explain the inclusion of Garruk Relentless  Flip for me? I feel like I'm missing the boat as I'm seeing (1) a contrived tutor, (2) slow token creation, or (3) ultimate quasi-finisher.

Much appreciated!

Hey Daedalus19876, so I have a Mazirek stax deck and been considering switching to Hapatra because she's more effective at breaking parity with stax cards. Here's my Mazirek list, and I was wondering what you'd suggest cutting to for cards that work with Hapatra:

Thank you for posting this deck and his budget version, I decided to use Hapatra as a commander after the prerelease event.

I got inspired by your decklist, but I still need to modify it because I used only the cards I had at home. It only creates tokens with hapatra for now, It doesn't stack the opponent.

It's a shame you can't include The Scarab God or other wonderful cards in this deck.

Unless there's a nice jund idea then both hapatra and scorpion god would be dangerous together

Triton: I'll try and take a look soon. Prerelease took up most of my magic-allocated time this weekend, unfortunately.

gdm1989: I will also try and take a look at your deck soon! :) If I may ask, though, how does Agent of Fate interact with Hapatra?

Gamered: I wish I could include The Scorpion God in here, dammit! ;) Hour of Devastation was less kind than it could have been to this deck, because -1 counters mostly shifted into RB colors :/ I'm glad I've inspired you, though! The budget version of this deck is pretty untuned, so any suggestions are deeply appreciated.
