Reaching my own end step on Obeka decks, and not inspired to clone another Sakashima deck, I turned to piracy for my first honest-to-goodness (crossed fingers) Grixis deck. Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator already brings a ton of interest to the table, but I knew I didn't want to plunder another Izzet tribal build. So I teamed the siren up with the lumpy-faced Vial Smasher the Fierce. Grixis has a TON of pirate support, but tribal pirates wasn't my true prize here. Nay.

It was T R E A S U R E.

I thought to myself, "Self, can we make treasure our wincon?" And self thought back to myself, "Why myself, methinks we can!"

So we added Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and Mechanized Production and it was good.

The deck certainly features a bevy of slack-jawed lily-livered deck-swabbin' pirates, but the goal is to hoard as much stinkin' treasure as possible! Then to cash it in for a big win! And every pirate has a purpose! If it's bringin' treasure with them, offerin' it up as they die a greasy death, or dealin' damage for Malcolm, they all are there to help me get the biggest pile I can!

If treasure alone can't net me the win, I've got some more options! Warstorm Surge can help trigger Malcolm by allowin' those pesky pirates to deal damage as they hop on board! Molten Echoes can get me two-fer-one piraty goodness! And Glint-Horn Buccaneer can cause all sorts of discardin' and pingin' hijinx on its own with Malcolm!

What's that now? You say "What if your opponents don't want Malcolm out?"

No sweat! I have some back ups. Sakashima of a Thousand Faces does a lovely job of mimickin' everything that OTHER partner does! And Obosh, the Preypiercer doubles up that squirmy goblin's damage! Leyline of Anticipation helps me crack off spells every turns! Which gives me value when I do! Blimey, value is just as good as treasure!

Right now I need to cut some excess flesh and make room for some tutors. I want to add about 4 tutors in, so any cuts you'd recommend, well you go on and comment them.
