Maybeboard

This is a deck I'm currently looking for help on. I'm recently returned to MtG, playing largely casual with my friends and occasionally attending draft events near me. I last played with the release of Coldsnap, and I never considered myself a really 'great' player. So, I'm looking for advice and suggestions for this deck.

The premise is simple enough, I think. The deck focuses on control early on through counterspelling, enchantments, and removal, backed with weenie white creatures such as Master of Diversion which will later allow my heavier hitting blue creatures (such as Tromokratis, the star and inspiration for this deck) through for the win.

Because of this, I'm looking to put things into play that see me safely through the early game until I can start dragging out the sea monsters. The Maybeboard has a number of cards that bring the late game closer, mostly through ramp or ways to cheat out the big threats. Thrummingbird is in the Maybeboard to combo off of Astral Cornucopia and the like - a theme I noted in another deck that focused on high-mana blue plays, the Thrummingbird allows token-based ramp to be played early and improved upon gradually.

What's presented here is both the deck as it stands now, cobbled together from what cards I had on-hand, and the cards I've been looking into adding to the deck. The Maybeboard consists of the latter, and the numbers are entirely tentative - it's currently just acting as a repository for things that I believe might contribute to the deck.

The meta of my casual environment focuses largely on getting out big, scary threats and/or using combat tricks to allow those threats through. There's decent enough removal to warrant defending against it, but I find that counterspelling is particularly strong against the types of decks my friends run, as they have few answers to it and it is satisfactorily versatile.

Of particular note are four decks - a Sunburst deck, which includes several indestructible creatures and Darksteel Forge (but not Darksteel Colossus or its more modern cousin), a black/blue milling deck featuring several copies of Traumatize and an Oona, Queen of the Fae, a mono-blue illusion/fairy deck (which skews away from the typical 'play big, scary threats' mentality), and a Red/White Boros deck which can provide scary early aggro (Though it has recently been split into a mono-red burn deck and a mono-white weenie deck).

Because this is Casual, there is no sideboard. Between games, we can essentially switch whatever cards we want in or out of the decks, partially because we rarely play the same decks twice in a row. Additionally, we place no restrictions on which sets to be used (we have decks that run cards from Eighth through Theros), and there's no real unspoken gentleman's agreements - while nobody is currently running any infinite combos, neither is anyone particularly opposed to someone running them.

So, if you've got any suggestions on where I might take this deck, feel free to give them. Even drastic changes are acceptable.
