They were both in deck at one point then took em out as they just werent functional enough for me. Prefer to keep some bodies on the field that dont die easy to removal

Also both of them don't interface well with the whole Siren's Ruse+Panharmonicon combo with the existing creatures like Sailor of Means and Prosperous Pirates do

Quite correct. They do however work very well in a B/W deck involving Anointed Procession and Stockpile.

What about the new Vault enchantment that flips into Tolarian Academy?

This deck could be a good home for that card. If you immediately flip on turn 4 the Academy can allow you to keep counter or glimmer mana up.

YawgsAgenda510 Did you read the deck description that has a link about the card already?

w33m4n says... #7

although I will say the link was broken and now fixed but I did mention it

I just noticed that there is no removal in this deck (in the mainboard at least). Perhaps moving Fatal Push to the main? It works well with the Treasure theme.

PS I didn't think that the Treasure link would work

sg_86 you are correct. I tend to not play active removal game 1 only because with the variety of creature and non-creature based decks i've found it more useful to side in removal as needed per deck. However anyone running the build could easily switch things around so that some of the removal (yes, those lovely Fatal Push with the treasure revolt trigger) are in the mainboard

you might wanna mainboard some removal. Essence Extraction is great with the whole stall thing going on, and Fatal Pushis fatal push

pistachio28 see comment above yours....

pistachio28 Also Essence Extraction being double black that early in game can be problematic and was when tested in the deck about a month ago. I prefer not having double black in the mix till late game IE Marionette Master and Torment of Hailfire Also in having removal I prefer straight destroy. Not dealing damage. The 3 life gain is nice but almost rarely needed.

You need some kind of Improvise card in here. This deck with spamming Lotus petals is a definite for Improvise.

TepigAggro, Herald of Anguish was originally in here but was replaced with The Scarab God since he can bring back my treasure producers as bigger bodies and keep my treasure production moving. Also thought about Battle at the Bridge but feel like there are better removal options. Also improvise is a marginally good mechanic in this deck. Treasures are usually out but I'm also using them to keep tempo while producing more if needed so improvise could be hit or miss in here as I found out already with Herald of Anguish

+1 for using torment of hailfire!

I currently run a Grixis Control deck that I'm making Esper for boardwipes and Approach. Maybe esper is the right way to go for this deck!

If it were to go 3 color it would be grixis

December 4, 2017 10:14 a.m.

sg_86 says... #17

With esper you have Anointed Procession

w33m4n says... #18

I already have Panharmonicon

And when Rivals of Ixalan comes out, you will want storm the vault

w33m4n says... #20

Yup hence grixis

I really like this deck, well done! Storm the Vault is going to be pretty awesome when that comes out. I made a deck that is built around Treasure Tokens as well, although admittedly it's not quite on par with this. It's more about winning with Treasure Tokens. Perhaps some of you more experienced folk would take a look and give me a few suggestions? I'd really appreciate it. Check it out if you guys have a second: Booty Plunder

I have a question about Marionette Master. Do tokens actually go to the graveyard?

December 4, 2017 5:13 p.m.

w33m4n says... #23

Yes they enter graveyard then ceaae to exist after. Marionettes trigger is of it entering the graveyard no being in the graveyard. Theres a ruling on gatherer for it

Deadeye Plunderers seems very good in this build, as it will most likely be huge and gets continuous treasures even if it doesn't fit the Panharmonicon+Siren's Ruse idea

December 5, 2017 1:45 p.m.

w33m4n says... #25

sg_86 My issue with Deadeye Plunderers is that sure he CAN be a big body but if I dont have treasures I'm paying 5 mana for a 3/3 that costs 4 mana to produce a treasure. Which to be honest. Isn't that good. Also even if he is a beatstick body he doesn't have any evasion. I'd find more value in throwing Herald of Anguish back in for the flyer beatdown with discard and option to kill smaller creatures. Instead I use The Scarab God for my 5 drop cause it's a 5/5 that can keep coming back to hand that for 4 mana gets a creature on the field from either graveyard as a 4/4 and if its a treasure producer in my graveyard its now a 4/4 that makes treasure and on his own will cause loss of life and scry every turn when he brings guys back. He's just a better 5 drop.
