Sideboard

This is a Treefolk themed Tribal Deck inspired by Treebeard from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Here is a breakdown of the deck (organized by mana cost):

Forest: Obvious.

Cavern of Souls: This land barely slows down my deck at all and makes most of my creatures uncounterable, making this deck even more control resistant. Finally, Cavern of Souls makes it easier to hard-cast Doran, the Siege Tower.

Murming Bosk: This land does not slow the deck down at all, can be fetched with Treefolk Harbinger and Nature's Lore, is untapped by Arbor Elf, and makes it possible to hard-cast Doran, the Siege Tower.

Arbor Elf: This mana-ramp weenie was chosen of others because it can untap Murmuring Bosk which makes it easier to hard-cast Doran, the Siege Tower.

Treefolk Harbinger: The only one mana Treefolk in Magic, this card is used to fetch Bosk Banneret or a Murmuring Bosk early game. In the late game, Treefolk Harbinger is used as a tutor to fetch finishers that will be cast for free the following turn with Leaf-Crowned Elder.

Nature's Lore: This card is an excellent mana ramp card that is pseudo one mana and can fetch Murmuring Bosk.

Bosk Banneret: Bosk Banneret makes almost the entire deck cheaper and is a great blocker.

Sylvan Library: Not only does Sylvan Library help control what I draw and allow for multiple draws in one turn, but it can stack the first few cards in the deck which allows me to almost always use Leaf-Crowned Elder's ability to get a free Treefolk.

Dungrove Elder: This beater not only grows quickly but is a Hexproof, making it a pain to deal with.

Doran, the Siege Tower: The majority creature's in this deck have more toughness than power and no creatures in this deck have more power than toughness; so Doran, the Siege Tower can quickly turn the tables as it greatly increases this deck's offensive capabilities.

Heartwood Storyteller: This creature grants much needed draw, especially against control decks.

Leaf-Crowned Elder: This card is sort of the heart of the deck. It allows for free creatures and combos with Treefolk Harbinger and Sylvan Library to allow almost any creature in the deck to hit the field whenever needed.

Dauntless Dourbark: This creature is a massive beater that can grow significantly each turn and has evasion (Trample). This creature is a game-winner.

Sapling of Colfenor: Sapling of Colfenor gives this deck card draw and health gain (it will never make you lose health in this deck) and is indestructible!

Timber Protector: MY BATTLEGROUND IS NOW INDESTRUCTIBLE! In addition to Indestructibility, Timber Protector buffs almost all my creatures and quickly makes Dauntless Dourbark much larger.

Verdeloth the Ancient: This Legendary creature is almost always a finisher. On top of the buff, it normally comes in free due to Leaf-Crowned Elder so all available mana can go into the Kicker, summoning a large army of Saprolings.

Woodfall Primus: This massive beater destroys any noncreature threat, and with how large the creatures in this deck are, noncreatures are really the only threats.

The deck has very good synergy and answers to many threats. It can pull what it needs, draw effectively, and cast many spells per turn. The deck quickly overwhelms the battlefield and devastates opponents. I am very excited to put this deck into practice.

Sideboard Description:

Asceticism: This card makes my deck more control resistant and limits killing my creatures to combat. It also effectively utilizes leftover mana.

Mindbreak Trap: This card counters many combo decks, this deck's weakest match-up.

Beast Within: This card makes for good spot removal of any threat.

Dismember: Green's best kill spell. Dismember is effective at removing threats for nearly free.

Krosan Grip: Legacy's best answer to artifact and enchantment threats.

Sylvan Library: If I need to sideboard out of many Treefolk, this card will help make sure I'm getting the cards I need since Leaf-Crowned Elder is less effective when there are fewer Treefolks.

Splinter: Goodbye Blightsteel.
