@miracleHat Well they have been dead cards at times, but so invaluable against the combodecks that has lots of removal and draw card spells, and my problem with flying has somewhat disappeared (Crib Swap and Spidersilk Net keeps the buffed at bay), maybe they sucked against eldazi even more and went hibernating.. The major role of the original deck was to shut down noncreature spell decks in general, which has molded into a more balanced combination, giving room for it now and I'll start playtesting with swapping Storytellers to Dungroves.
Thanks for your imput and time!

If you add in a few Assault Formations you could play Tree of Redemption as a one or two of

@blasphemale I have to disagree, all of those lands are forests even if it is a 3 color deck, hence boost Dauntless/Dungrove with everyone, then I have 8 ramp cards Bosk Banneret and Wall of Roots, which gives a sort of pseudo total of 30, which can be higher if I cast two or more spells a turn that gets a Bosk Banneret discount. And it gives me space to more value :)
@iBurgerKing Yeah, after I thought about usable situations for it, it seemed bad here.. :) Tower Defense on the other hand was mentioned before too (Doran sync) and I've swapped Spidersilk Nets with 2 of them to side.
@Guywithabanna Assault Formation has been on my mind for days, but in the end I'd rather have 2 more Doran, the Siege Towers if needed, cause it's a creature, it f's up your opponents too (Unless they running a defender deck) and doesn't f' up my MVP Leaf-Crowned Elders upkeep. Been playtesting a while with 6 noncreature max and it's really nice. As for Tree of Redemption, I love it, but don't need it, even though his tap + Tower Defense is almost back to your starting total :)

How remarkable! I've never even heard of a tribal treefolk deck, let alone one that's competitive. Kudos to you! +1
I can see you've done a lot of tweaking, and I love the current build - would Flaying Tendrils be more useful than Drown in Sorrow? Given you've got some significant draw ramp already, being able to exile their creatures to prevent recurrence could be useful.
Also, I can't help but feel that Trinisphere would be more useful to you than Thorn of Amethyst. Your biggest weakness, as far as I can tell, would be incredibly fast weenie builds. Trinisphere hoses infect, affinity, and a number of other builds that might outrun you.

@foxinsox I like how Drown in Sorrow let's me skip anything useless if I got Leaf-Crowned Elder on the table and I get your point in exiling them, but most of the time it's used on tokens which don't really care where they go to die :) As for Trinisphere, someone recommended it before too and I tested it a bit, but getting to drop Thorn of Amethyst on turn 2 against fast decks seemed a little better, and they stack. Turn 3 is an important turn for this deck and I felt using it to drop the sphere slowed me down a bit too much. Thanks for the input though!

Completely valid - I hadn't factored in the importance of your turn 3 play. The only other card I'd suggest (possibly in sideboard) is unfortunately another 3 cost affair, but Rule of Law couples nicely with Leaf-Crowned Elder and would slow down a number of decks that aim on stacking spells or burning you out. It's a nuisance that it's not a treefolk but c'est la vie. Ethersworn Canonist would have a similar effect for one less mana, but you wouldn't hose affinity in the same way.
Something to consider. Best of luck with the competitions you choose to enter! You might be going out on a limb, but I'll be rooting for you (Puns completely intended).

Another card for your sideboard could be Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. It's one of the cheapest green land destruction cards I could find and it helps buff Dungrove Elder and Dauntless Dourbark.

@foxinsox Rule of Law looks pretty devastating against the infinite combo decks, I'll have to try it out. And hahah, thanks for the cheers! :)
@1337_Nerd That looks like a superslow card, but could be a real killer against tron, gotta try it out too.

I love this deck (despite beating my deck for number #1 this week). However I do have a suggestion. Kin-Tree Invocation. Two mana cost that can easily create a 5/5. If you have unstoppable ash it creates a 10/10. Also it's instant speed so you can throw it down on your opponents turn and swing with it your very next for many lulz.

@blong217 Thanks man, and a tight competition it was! :) The suggestion is really good, but I really don't have much room for noncreatures, as it would be bad to topdeck with Sapling or Elder, and I don't really have a lack of creatures either. Really nice card but I'd have to change the deck a bit too much to make room for it.

ive been following your deck for quite a bit now, and as a treefolk tribal fanatic im loving the idea of bringing tribal treefolk to a competitive environment. just like you i thing treefolks have a lot of potential we just need come up with a way to duel against the big boys.i have a treefolk deck myself, althought i decided to go mono green...i just found it to be more resilient and more efficient to keep it mono colored. have a look at my deck, i hope you get some good ideas

The thing I hate most about your deck is that I do not have most of the cards to build it...L.O.L.
I too would like to know what you think of the mana base if money were no problem. Cutting Temple Garden down to 2x and Forest down to 10x in favor of four Forest-fetching fetchlands seems like a good idea. Adding even more fetchlands would lead to a little deck thinning, which would come in handy when you are revealing the top card of your library in search of creatures. However, I am wondering then if the land count might need to go up to 23.

@kl0Ze Nice deck man, being mono-colored is not a problem for this deck, since every land is a forest too and it gives more variety for removal spells, Crib Swap being a shapeshifter gives Bosk discount to it too, plus the black sideboard spells + (Rule of Law which I've been testing with some nice results) against tokens and infinite combo have been great. The card that I really love about your deck is Oracle of Mul Daya, if only it werent so expensive, as I try to keep this under 300$
@alanwescoat I've been scratching my head about the fetchlands, but they just go way over my budjet.. I would really like to do just what you said, but maybe in some time I'll start buying them one by one :)
And thanks to both for feedback.

I would replace the storytellers for the Dungrove Elders... But apparently they are good....? You mention that in your 'weaknesses' section that quick-stompy-flying aggro decks are the prominent weakness. If these quick decks are a weakness, then how does a slow card such as storyteller help you? The Dungrove Elder will be much larger, have hexproof and (many times) indestructible making it very difficult to remove. I have heard that Shape the Sands and Tower Defense are great especially with Doran, the Siege Tower out.
To Simplify: Still going by my stance of drop storyteller and add either Dungrove Elder/Shape the Sands/Tower Defense.
