@Slaye_114: I'm so overjoyed having caught the attention of THE treelover <3 Every day I go hug my favourite Harbingers :)
Philo_Lij: Wooohoo, never ever thought the love for trees could grow this big! Thanks you for the love :)
HairyManBack: LOTR already demonstrated the smashing power of the trees (Ents..?! dafuq they are trees and proud of it :D), so it's to be expected :D

And Philo_Lij, I really do recommend insvesting in this, even though it takes a pretty penny. It's just so rewarding to play and even if you prefer gimmicky and burn/prowess or combo decks, this in a way provides a bit of every of aspect those mechanics too! I personally own only around 30% of the deck in paper, but play it alot in online. But little by little I get to hopefully take this baby to my local games too :)

Naksu I love tree folk/ plant based so this deck is awesome to me. Honestly for how well it holds off against other decks I feel that it isn't as expensive, so it would be a great investment. I'll probably slowly gather these cards. Also this would be a cool commander deck(of course with more stuff).

Philo_Lij: Oh man, didnt even think I could turn this into a treefolk/shaman deck for Commander too :OO Nice1 for putting the idea in my head :D
August 3, 2016 6:31 a.m.
I think it would be the most fun commander deck out there.
August 4, 2016 1:20 p.m.
Philo_Lij Oh yes it would, the amount of possibilities to work with Defenders/walls to Nyx-Fleece Ram and the list goes on. But I have Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and The Gitrog Monster that I really wan't to make use of on my first EDH deck. Dunno which to make a Commander out of yet though.. And things got a little sidetracked :p

I started a treefolk brew a little while back; this seems like a pretty natural progression of it and everything seems to make sense for picks. I'm still a compulsive swapper though, so I might proxy this for testing and see how a few other things work.

ever consider Cavern of Souls? pretty good in any tribal and helps your mana base

Erebos102: Yeah for quite a few of my decks, but the price makes me salty.. :/

Please note that Crib Swap is a treefolk, but it is not a creature. It will work with Leaf-Crowned Elder but not Sapling of Colfenor.

ClockworkSwordfish: Good call man! Indeed it doesn't work with it. I will edit the description immediately! Thank you for pointing it out.

By the way, if you want to try the "(almost) all creatures" route, as supported by Thorn of Amethyst, you might appreciate Heartwood Storyteller. He's basically guaranteed to replace himself even if your opponent kills him right away, and can draw you lots of cards against a control deck.

ClockworkSwordfish: I thought about it when I initially started to shuffle through possible cards, but ignored it then. Now it actuau looks really promising!

ClockworkSwordfish: Any idea wat to take out ? I'd thin out the nontutorable creatures (wall of roots) and noncreature spells by eiter stripping 1 crip sap and one Wall of Roots, or 2 Cribs. Whats your resolve ?

What Is this!? Never mind. It's the best thing that happened to modern since Mono-white Goats. It's probably better than elfs.

I know, right! Every now and then I take it for a spin and get so many concedes I've almost stopped playing it ;)

I worry that 21 lands might not be enough to cast your 5-drops consistently, even with help from your 1-2drop creatures. The games I lose with my treefolk deck are ones where I don't get enough lands. Perhaps moving a few Thorns to the SB and adding some lands could help improve the deck. The SB also could shave down on Back to Natures for more GY hate since dredge is so big right now. Rest in Peace is good against both Dredge and Living End (which would be another tough matchup for you). I don't think you need as much generic removal in your SB, since you should be good against most agro decks due to your creature's high toughness. I'd just make sure to put in some cheaper removal that can deal with Infect creatures early on, like Dismember to shore up that matchup. Cloudcrown Oaks might be better than 1-2 of the plummets since you can tutor for them using Harbingers against decks that have lots of flyers. That, or adding a number of Spidersilk Nets to block flyers and add synergy when you have Doran in play. Yay for treefolk!

GeminiSpartanX: Lots of good points man! The thing with the mana base is that I hard mulligan for a start I can manage with (Which truly aint that hard) and so far it hasn't produced an issue. You are correct on Back to Nature and I intend to drop it to 2, even if it is a card that destroys so many things. While Rest in Peace is really good, I've already got Relic of Progenitus, which tends to be harder to remove and I might end up with 3, thanks to your imput. For the rest of the suggestions, I don't necessarily comply (Tragic Slip is something I've been thinking about). I think Putrefy and Plummet are great cards against the meta I face. Truly appreciate the time and effort, much love!

GeminiSpartanX: About the manabase. 21 lands + 4 Bosk Bannerets + 4 Treefolk Harbinger + 2 Wall of Roots brings it to a 31 card pool, from which to draw 3 out of 7 possible starting solutions. It has been such a rare occurence that mana have been the one to screw me over :)

Super awesome 100! May the Trees smash opponents well!
Love the fro. Remember watching that guy on PBS as a little squirt. Nobody could paint a tree with a flat scraper like him.
