Dude, Nameless Inversion? Turorable with harbinger, castable with elder, and can also work as a emergency combat trick. Waddaya say?

seshiro_of_the_orochi, if only you knew how much hair I've pulled out putting it in and out.. :D Every time I lean to taking it out though, so something with it rubs me wrong, I honestly dont know :p

Weird...but i know the feeling. There are cards that do this to people.

Yeah, I mean it hits so many threats literally on demand, but I just feel like losing the going wide aspect this zoo tries. It's truly been back and forth, even though I usually tell suggesters that it's bad :p

Nice deck. Seems like our decks are in the same category

Hey User:Naksu! I just tested this deck against my werewolf brew, Howlpack Aggro. Let me tell you, I had to go full removal just to stand a chance against the treefolk. You may not be at competitive level with the treefolk yet, but they are on-par or above concerning the werewolves.

I played about 5 games. My wolves ended up winning, but only because of the treefolk got mana-screwed in the last game. My saving grace against a 7/7 treefolk on turn 4 was Moonlight Hunt. Once I got him off the board, I was able to stabilize. The hexproof creatures would have been my downfall if I hadn't been able to keep ramping up creature power, along with some Temur Battle Rage. This deck is quite the challenge!

Thanks for taking the time to playtest this. I rarely take on decks that beat me on board without gimmicks, but I have had some trouble with aggro. I would prolly have to take Amethysts out and go with full defence against your removal with spellskites and sefless spirit. I've also thought about bringing Bontu's Last Reckoning to SB to battle fast decks.

I'll try it again with your sideboard suggestions. It's a fun deck to play against!

I generally dont have anything specific to counter your build, since I should come ahead in theory. Its my favourite deck to play, but have so little time, so Im glad someone else enjoys this too :)

Did the second test. Worked just like you thought! Spellskite kept Doran, the Siege Tower alive, and the rest of the deck did its job wonderfully. Against my deck it was a 2/1, in favor of the treefolk. Man, the ability to just tutor up anything in the deck with a one drop makes this deck's experience SO consistent. +1 from me for sure. Plus fetch lands! Me and my noob self needs to get me a couple.

For a less than 100$, your brew did fantastic. Yeah, Harbinger is a wonderful toolbox in itself (and really bonkers with Leaf-Crowned Elder or Sapling of Colfenor online). Fetch lands are brilliant and thus ridiculously expensive. They are the most consistent way of fixing mana when paired with burn lands. The thinning of the deck is debatable, but I think in lists like this and somewhat similar builds that run Descendants' Path etc. the thinning is actually effective. So yeah I do recommend in investing in what your pet deck needs most. Merry Christmas too :)

Hey Naksu, I just want to give you a shoutout, as I have this deck mostly done in paper, and I love playing it. It's my go-to modern deck

Instead of Bontu's Last Reckoning try Flaying Tendrils. While it may not get rid of everything, it completely shuts down dredge, and lets you tap for mana on the next turn.

Additionally, I'm noticing a lack of Stony Silence in SB. Any particular reason I'm not seeing?

Bontu's Last Reckoning works well together with Timber Protector and Selfless Spirit. Rest in Peace is against gy tactics, so I'm not sold on Flaying Tendrils. I'll give it some testing.

I think I had 2 slots for Stony Silence in the past, but ran into so few decks I actually sided it in, that I kind of settled for Nature's Claim for enchantments too. I will flex the SB according to what I run into most, so it will find its way back when I feel the need.

Thanks for your feedback.

Have you considered Sakura-Tribe Elder in place of Wall of Roots? It helps you fix your mana, it is a shaman (interacts with Bosk Banneret), and most importantly, helps you ramp with forests, which speeds up the pace your Dauntless Dourbark and Dungrove Elder grow. Finally, it helps you trigger Fatal Push.
