What about Lightning Greaves ? Its cheap, costs 0 to equip, and allows you to use your big fatties right away. And maybe a Rite of Replication ? Can be nice if your eldrazi get Mind Control 'd and having 6 Wurmcoil Engine s is always fun :)

Oblivion Stone
seems kinda slow. I know they're salty, but All Is Dust
would be boss in your deck!

Your sideboard is perfect, so simple yet ruthless. Mad props +1

Thank you greatly, wafleboy88. The deck was built to get tron turn 3, play something devastating like Karn Liberated or All Is Dust , and then 2 turns later to lay down a finisher like Mindslaver or an Eldrazi ancient. The sideboard was built to be swapped with the 5 blue instants I run for support to make more efficient devastation of my opponents tempo or board while I build up to casting Emrakul, the Aeons Torn .

you may want some basics over the coasts as path to exile and ghost quarter are cards

Path? What's there to Path - Emrakul? The point of this deck design is that no creature hate can touch it! Ghost Quarter could hurt alot, but fetching a basic off of it is not worth to value of having two colors in any other scenario. The deck is split evenly on the color pie so I could end up in trouble with a basic. More often than not, though, Modern decks will run just Tectonic Edges. I have no fear of your Wastelands - bring em!

Hinterland Harbor will not work in this build as I only have 3 Forest/Islands. I need my colored mana to enter the battlefield fast, if at all. Ideally I ramp to tron turn 3 using Chromatic artifacts for any colored mana, avoiding playing a Yavimaya Coast or Breeding Pool all together. However, when I do need the mana, the loss of two life versus entering tapped can often mean the difference between winning and losing.

Planar Portal ?...Needs Wurmcoils. Oblivion Stone isn't always helpful (especially compaired to All is Dust)

Oblivion stone's and all is dust will always do the trick! The wurmcoils are in the sideboard against hyper aggressive decks. Against control decks, I've been wrecked by a few path's and have been unable to do anything. This deck is Path Proof.

It's pretty damn funny that in play testing this deck I was able to tutor up Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with Eye of Ugin , cast him, take my extra turn, on my extra turn swing with the spaghetti monster, tutor up another spaghetti monster, cast him, let the original go to the graveyard, take an extra turn, swing, rinse and repeat fooooorever. Exactly! 20 open mana and an eye of ugin makes infinite Emralil casting. My favorite win condition.

That was in the deck literally a week ago. I found it usually unnecessary, and that the colored mana was far more useful. If I would have to recur a Wurmcoil or something to the top, I would probably lose anyway at that point. Every other land in this deck serves a better purpose than Academy Ruins can.

yeah, I switched over a few days ago. my meta was full of combo decks so I had the blue in here to stop them. I finally converted to red for the pyroClasms because it stops agro so much better.

grove of the burn willows is only good with Punishing Fire and punishing flames is banned. You're honestly better off just running any other multi.
March 2, 2014 6 p.m.
Grove of the Burnwillows here prevents me from losing any life to make colored mana. It's significantly worse than Karplusan Forest or Stomping Ground , because those actually deal me damage, and against another creature deck tron takes at least 4 turns to get Oblivion Stone out. The thing with Grove of the Burnwillows is that if your win condition is going to be Wurmcoil Engine , you have to use it 5 times to increase the number of hits you need to win, which is very rare (and they will usually deal themself some damage from fetches and shocks as well). If Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is the win condition, it has to be used 11 times to make a difference, which is literally impossible. So really it has no impact on my gameplan and prevents me from helping my opponents and dealing myself damage. The only thing it hurts is my wallet but I'll get over it.

are 4x Relic of Progenitus that good to have main? well it guess it depents on your meta but I would personally replace them something else.... but I don't know what
March 6, 2014 8:33 a.m.
The Relics are a decent cantrip that can help alot against Goyfs, Snapcasters, Living End, Dredgevine, and many other decks in some form. It's for sure the weakest link in the mainboard but the only alternatives are a second Ghost Quarter, which is really meh late game, or a 4th Wurmcoil Engine, which is a bit too much for early game reliability.
March 6, 2014 5:35 p.m.
i feel like taking out 2 Relic of Progenitus for 2 Infiltration Lens is pretty powerful in this deck. they NEED to block that Wurmcoil Engine , and you WILL draw two cards.
March 7, 2014 2:14 p.m.
I would rather not run equipment like Infiltration Lens in a deck with only 4 creatures. It would usually do nothing but be a dead draw. The things I would consider swapping Relic of Progenitus with include Mishra's Bauble , Ghost Quarter , All Is Dust , and Wurmcoil Engine . As it is now, it serves as a great thing to sideboard out, lets me basically play a 19 card sideboard, cantrips and shuts down most of the modern staple creatures (namely Tarmogoyf , Snapcaster Mage and Scavenging Ooze ).

I use Increasing Confusion as an alternate win. It is pretty good especially with the flashback
