All Is Dust is the shit and would win you many games. but is it worth the increased mana cost and decreased tempo?

Mishra's Bauble - never seen that card. pretty badass for this deck. I would consider running 3 or even 4. its a free card draw that Telepathy s for 1 turn

All Is Dust is really fantastic and hits right on curve, but can't hit everything as efficiently as Oblivion Stone , thus making it have a 1 of spot in the sideboard. I added 2 Mishra's Bauble for now because it is a good cantrip to have. Thanks for the suggestions man!

I just thought of something to replace that Relic of Progenitus . You could either put in Manamorphose of even Gitaxian Probe if your meta has a lot of controll.

Manamorphose is fine but a bit too mana intensive, I don't want to get stuck on mana for a cantrip. Gitaxian Probe 's information here is a bit useless and the 2 life makes a big difference. Relic of Progenitus may be the slowest of those but it is the best way for the deck to eliminate some of the biggest threats in modern, like Past in Flames , Pyromancer Ascension , Tarmogoyf , Snapcaster Mage , Scavenging Ooze , Vengevine , Crucible of Worlds , Life from the Loam , and more. This is essential because once tron is online the only things it can't hit without relics are the opponents graveyard.

I prefer Tectonic Edge over Ghost Quarter . Great deck

Honestly In this meta I feel like Sundering Titan will do much better than Karn Liberated since Mana Greedy stuff is run a lot and provides a huge body to destroy people with

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried using Sundering Titan now, he never amazed me too much but I'll see if he can cripple some decks.

Nice deck. I play Tron as well. Have you tried playing with Magneto (Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre )? He's been so good for me that I have at one point taken out the Spaghetti Monster (although he's back in now).

One thing my build does that I don't see anyone do is I run only two Wurmcoil Engine . Heck, I don't even run a third in the side. I would suggest trying it out if you like tweaking numbers. I run 4 dudes, 2 Engines and the two big Eldrazi monsters. I find I rely on Karn Liberated to control the game long enough to get what is needed, hence no need to draw into the win cons. Buying time and tutoring them works just fine.

It all comes down to preference. +1... nice list.

Great Deck, been trying it with some proxies and it's working out insanely good.

I'm running 1 less Pyroclasm in main and 1 more Defense Grid, but this comes to preference and meta around your place so this isn't really anything, otherwise I can't find anything I'd change. Also this deck has been working out wonders against storm, for me.

Using this deck right now and currently running Karplusan Forest instead of Grove of the Burnwillows since it's simply cheaper (in money cost). Otherwise I'd just like to thank you for submitting this deck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I run the Defense Grid in the sideboard because decks that it cripples effectively (UWx control, Twin Exarch, somewhat Burn, etc) are less common than the decks that Pyroclasm is very effective against. Still, both are useful.

I agree, Karplusan Forest is a very good temporary replacement for Grove of the Burnwillows until you can afford them. For at least a year, I used a playset of Karplusan Forest until I got my Grove of the Burnwillows.

You're welcome! It's been evolving and changing for probably two years, but this current list of 75 has been generally the same for a long time now. This deck list is really effective, I've found.

When he's released, you might want to add in Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. He seems like a fun card, and has an enormous power level too.

Oops, I didn't see that you already had planned to add Ugin in. :)

There's no point playing tron in legacy, because there's post lands.

I like the mainboard spellskite. Its probably a meta call, right?

March 15, 2015 5:33 p.m.

vishnarg says... #18

@Colgate, that's the entire joke with the decks name. This is not a legacy deck, but the movie is called Tron: Legacy, so it's a play on the movie/format names.

@8vomit, yes. Spellskite is great in the main board because it can stop a few combos and draws Path's away from Wurmcoil Engine. Just the other day in a tournament somebody was trying to pilot eggs with Faith's Reward, and they forgot I had a Spellskite in play. They built up to 40 damage somehow and I redirected it all to Spellskite. Plus, it's cheap mana, makes for a great blocker, and gives me something else to do with my mana in the early game.

Well he was just a dubby player haha. But Regardless, nice deck man. You dont like the idea of running an ugin?

March 15, 2015 5:59 p.m.

Colgate says... #20

That movie should be named 'Tron: Modern' or 'Post: Legacy'. Badly named movie.

March 15, 2015 6:06 p.m.

vishnarg says... #21

@Colgate, haha yes man that would be perfect.

@8vomit, I like Ugin a lot, don't get me wrong. I don't think he will find a place in the main board here, but I see a lot of advantages to having one or two in the sideboard. The only reason I run All Is Dust over him is because I don't own one, and I'm not going to shell out the money for him right now.

Would splashing blue for card draw be bad idea? Why?

March 15, 2015 9 p.m.

vishnarg says... #23

Colgate, yes, that would generally be a bad idea. Not because card draw is bad or anything, but because this deck really doesn't need it. Generally, Tron decks will be holding 6-7 cards in hand for the first 3-4 turns in any given game, unless they had a bad hand. This is because there are 22 cards in this deck that essentially cantrip, or replace themselves, when used (4 Chromatic Star, 4 Chromatic Sphere, 4 Expedition Map, 4 Sylvan Scrying, 2 Relic of Progenitus, 4 Ancient Stirrings). These 22 cards are what are primarily played in the early game until Tron is assembled. After that, the deck usually has no trouble finding a Karn Liberated, Wurmcoil Engine, or Oblivion Stone to drop due to all the digging you just did to find the tron lands.

Besides that, splashing isn't easy in this deck. I would have to add a Yavimaya Coast to run blue, and then I'd have to waste Expedition Map or Sylvan Library to get it if I hadn't drawn a Chromatic Sphere or Chromatic Star. Tron only splashes for things that are very key and unique, such as Slaughter Games in the sideboard. I hope that answers your question.

Quick suggestion: have you considered sideboarding in 3-4 Banefire?

March 25, 2015 11:27 a.m.

vishnarg says... #25

No, but there's not much point to running Banefire. Banefire is only effective at 6+ mana, and for that cost casting Wurmcoil Engine is preferable. As a win-con, it would need to be 21 mana, or 15 if I hit with a Wurmcoil already. Emrakul is far superior for finishing the opponent because it is also uncounterable and has the benefit of annhililator 6.
