If I could get my hands on one I would replace Boseiju with it.

Wilt-Leaf Liege would make more sense than Tolsimir Wolfblood given you can't populate that token, I've made that mistake myself : /

I've never made the mistake of populating a legendary token before.

Even if Voja gets doubled by Parallel Lives and Doubling Season, he still triggers Trostani, Cathars' Crusade and Aura Shards.

Very nice. +1 from me. My only suggestion is maybe adding a Cloudshift for your creatures like Thragtusk and Armada Wurm

Thanks for the suggestion and the +1, but no. There is no reason to play a one-shot single-target spell that only has a couple decent targets.

Green Sun's Zenith - Maybe. If I can reliably get one then I'll try it some time.

Craterhoof Behemoth - No. I don't often have a huge army, and when I do I sure don't need this guy.

Avenger of Zendikar - No. I felt that I didn't really need the tokens this makes, and it died way too often before I could trigger its landfall, that's why I nixed it from my original list.

Tooth and Nail - No. It's pointlessly expensive and creature fetch is not anywhere near my top priority.

Regal Force - Maybe. It's card draw and that's nice, but I feel like without an army strategy, it's not as good.

Garruk, Primal Hunter - Yes. If I can find a reliable way of getting one without buying it as a single, for sure.

And I don't need more ramp spells, they take away from my aggro and utility pointlessly, and the only times I don't have enough mana is if I miss my early land drops, which would mean I can't likely cast those ramp spells anyway. Thanks for the suggestions though, I appreciate it.

wouldn't Azusa, Lost but Seeking be better than Oracle of Mul Daya . Nature's Claim might be better than Sundering Growth . finally Sensei's Divining Top is a staple and would rock in this deck.

April 26, 2013 8:08 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #11

Azusa - Nope. Oracle lets me play lands from the top of my deck.

Nature's Claim - Nope. I think you need to read the card again.

Top - Nope. There's no way I'm spending that much money for a repeatable top 3 manipulation. I'll stick with Abundance.

so i'm guessing that it is a no on Mirri's Guile also. is Crush of Wurms to much to play, it seems like something fun to populate...

April 26, 2013 8:25 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #13

If Mirri's Guile wasn't $10 I'd run it, but as is, it just isn't worth the investment. Crush of Wurms is cool and all, but getting one would prove tricky, and even then, I wouldn't know what to cut. It's going on my maybeboard. Thanks for the suggestions.

One normally doesn't cast avenger unless he can trigger landfall that turn. Avenger is a 1-card "wrath or lose" situation for your opponents. Or, if you have Dauntless Escort on board, just "lose."

Craterhoof ends games, plain and simple. Best overrun effect by a mile and tutorable via green sun, tooth etc.

Is your meta really slow? Not to sound rude but your deck looks on the slow side. Your mana curve is high and you don't have a ton of ramp.

April 26, 2013 8:40 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #15

My meta is casual, full of wraths and removal. Games go slow like normal multiplayer EDH games. Careterhoof is winmore, Avenger has a small chance to kill off one player the turn it comes in and I don't need more ramp, I hit all my land drops and then some, in most cases.

Seeing as I'm on a budget and I need can't really afford to drop too much cash on cards, I'm thinking of cutting Voice of Resurgence for Cream of the Crop since I need budget library manipulation.

Have you looked at Growing Ranks at all by chance?

April 30, 2013 8:54 a.m.

Skyfolk says... #18

I just removed it in favour of Garruk, Primal Hunter . Growing Ranks never did too much for me in all honesty, and Primal Hunter's +1 makes 3/3s, and if I play him with Doubling Season out, I immediately get a minimum of 10 6/6 Wurms.

riddler89 says... #19

I can't blame you there. Another possibility with all this life gain is Serra Avatar and/or Rhox Faithmender . Not necessarily fitting in with the token theme but definitely helps take advantage of the lifegain

April 30, 2013 9:11 a.m.

Skyfolk says... #20

Yeah, I don't really need to take advantage of the lifegain at all. Trostani does a fine job on her own, and I'm happy with the deck's theme and structure. Everything is totally relevant to my theme and strategy.

I'm a big fan of Seance abuse with things like Armada Wurm , and Intangible Virtue has obvious applications. Master of the Wild Hunt is one of the most fun cards I've ever pulled from my Trostani deck. But I'm mostly here to suggest Sun Titan to go along with your Dauntless Escort . If nothing else though, I'd re-evaluate Tolsimir Wolfblood . I hope he works for you, but I never liked him much. Great deck though! +1

May 1, 2013 9:49 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #22

Thanks for the +1. If I had to cut anything for Sun Tits would have to be Rest in Peace. But I like RiP a lot, so that's not gonna happen until my meta changes.

I don't like Seance because it just sits there on the battlefield doing literally nothing 80% of the time, as I only run 17 creature cards.

Master of the Wild Hunt is basically a sub-par growing ranks in this deck, and I took out Ranks for Primal Hunter.

And Intangible Virtue is a tiny anthem which I don't use in this deck because the majority of my tokens are fat anyway. But thank you for the suggestions, they were good, just not for this particular build.

Gearge says... #23

Don't forget about the vigilance Intangible Virtue gives. Especially in large games being able to swing with everything is fantastic.

That said Akroma's Memorial is obviously better, just a matter of how much you care about vigilance.

Another one to consider is Eldrazi Monument . The drawback can be annoying but I think this deck would generally not have the slightest issues.

May 1, 2013 10:06 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #25

I took Eldrazi Monument out of the deck when I changed the commander to Trostani. In the event I can't populate or create more tokens, it can really screw me over, especially when there's a voltron player at the table.
