I really like Shadowborn Apostle, but just tutoring for demons never seemed powerful enough to build a deck around. Xathrid Necromancer fixes that problem. Getting demons is secondary at best to this deck. The real magic is being able to sacrifice 6 creatures at once to Xathrid, and use Immortal Servitude to do it over and over again.

One issue with a lot of Shadowborn based decks is how much of a pain it is to get 6 out. This deck (ideally) sidesteps this once a Xathrid or two is out, allowing you to be overly aggressive with your apostles in the hope of turning them into 2/2's. With 4 Immortal Servitude on the way, you know that eventually you'll be able to get them all on the field at once. Purphoros, God of the Forge is an easy way to deal 20+ damage a turn once you get the Xathrid out. Sac the apostles, tutor for the Abhorrent Overlord and win.

Immortal Servitude + Xathrid Necromancer also plays nicely with Ogre Battledriver, making those zombies you're churning out into 4/2 suicide soldiers with haste.

The first demon you should usually slap down on the board is Sire Of Insanity. Generally speaking, by the time you get 6 apostles out, you're going to be out of hand anyways, why shouldn't everyone share the joy of playing 1 card per turn.
