Thanks for the +1. I upvoted yours as well. I see you are using Exhume as a return creature card. Have you thought about Death ? It's the same mana cost, and you lose life from the converted mana cost of the creature, but your opponents don't get to put a creature on the field.

Just put it in..thanks!

I'm gonna steal a couple ideas from your deck...i'll mention you!

lookoutimscary says... #5

Have you playtested it at all? If so how'd it play??

October 9, 2013 7:06 p.m.

Drakavious says... #6

Awesome, thanks!

I've playtested this deck over 200 times now. I've only had problems due to bad draws ~15 times. For the most part you can have the Sire Of Insanity or The Mimeoplasm combo on the field within 3 turns. The best draw you can hope for is Swamp , Dark Ritual , Entomb , and Reanimate .

I find Buried Alive to work better in my deck than Entomb based on playtesting just on this site

T1 Worldspine Wurm , or... whatever you want. This is beautiful. +1

Drakavious says... #9

Thanks! I would use Worldspine Wurm but his last effect negates me using Entomb on him.

Oh the humanity. Usually this game goes. Land+dark rit+ entomb =opponent scoop.A friend of mine played a reanimator where he would turn 1 reanimate Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and then dilly dally reanimating various other tricks while the rest of us squirm with out hands. Draw a land pass... Ill just kill myself then i had a reanimator that i reanimate Griselbrand t1 but what you have is devistating. Its no turn zero kill (wich is a thing) but its something not many decks can compete with in any format. +1

Thanks Felixlives! _ You'll find an extra +1 on each of your many decks. I thought about using Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur but I decided not to implement him on the off chance that the opponent plays Reliquary Tower .

Wow you +1'd all my decks??? O.o that musta taken forever.

So I saw this deck yesterday, but before I could click on it, it escaped from me while I was distracted. Had to take a look because of Basandra, Battle Seraph .. So glad I did. Wish I had some brilliant advice or something, lol. The only possible guy I can think of that you don't have in your SB that might be useful would be Emrakul, the Aeons Torn . Anyway +1 from me. :D

Thanks PriestessKikyo1! You'll find an extra +1 on all three of your decks.

I also considered Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , however, his last effect makes him unable to be reanimated.

I really like this deck. I may have to copy your list. I love that it is relatively cheap to build. Glancing at the sideboard I'm curious as to what you switch out and when. +1 from me.

Thanks Replayced! You'll find an extra +1 on all five of your decks.

In reference to the sideboard... I put it together not to particularly use, but to introduce ideas to other players. If I sub any cards in it's merely to keep the game interesting for others after 20+ games when the responses are "I can't play anything" or "That's over 10 poison counters in one turn."

technically, mimeoplasm would enter the battlefield as a 13/13, not an 18/16.

I know it really doesn't matter, but i thought you'd like to know.

+1 from me!!!

Thanks Carpediem! You'll find an extra +1 on your many decks.

Hmm... unless I'm reading this text wrong:

"As The Mimeoplasm enters the battlefield, you may exile two creature cards from graveyards. If you do, it enters the battlefield as a copy of one of those cards with a number of additional +1/+1 counters on it equal to the power of the other card."

Information on copying: http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Copying_objects

A copy is an exact replica of the object being targeted. In this case, it's Putrefax and Death's Shadow . The Mimeoplasm becomes the first creature, to include its sacrificing at the beginning of the end step . The second part of the text, "with an additional +1/+1 counters on it equal to the power of the other card" means that it will receive an added 13 counters from Death's Shadow on top of the 5/3. Making it the unbearable 18/16 Trample, Haste, Infected nightmare.

I hope this helps your understanding. If I have misinterpreted rules please inform me.

Felixlives thanks for commenting!

In reference to your hypothetical world, in which you will be drawing exactly what you want, my actual sideboard consists of counters to the counters, so to speak. Rest in Peace is one of several counters to the Reanimate builds. Two others off the top of my head are Ground Seal and Grafdigger's Cage .

I use Quagmire Druid to remove enchantments and Gate to Phyrexia to remove artifacts. After the first match with an opponent, you'll know if they have the capable counters to this playstyle. Sub in 2 of each card by replacing Street Wraith or Gitaxian Probe , since they're only there for extra draws.

Might Serum Powder help to more consistently arrive at what you need?

October 24, 2013 3:11 a.m.

Drakavious says... #22

Thanks Aldazar! You'll find an extra +1 on your three decks.

Yes, Serum Powder would be very useful. I will run several playtests with it. If I use it in to this build I will note you for it. Thanks again.

I have a black white lifegain counter reanimator deck that plays 4 silence 4 rest in piece 4 Bojuka Bog and 4 Tormod's Crypt to name a few great counters to reanimation. In any case having silence and rest in piece in my opening hand is not super hard to achieve. All the same reanimation is super powerful and usually i just cry about it. My friend who plays a reanimator deck has his deck in distinctive lilliana sleeves so i know to play my counter deck but if i just happen into a game with a reanimator deck usually i rage quit and play infect next time.
