Ok. I just meant that this deck relies on good starting hand. Gobling grenader and lightning bolt from the enemy and it's suddenly risky to attack. Coping with good enemy beginning or a bad starting hand could use a few moments of thought. When i tested this i got ever worse starting hand than this deck.. and it was bad too. With few counters i got to prolong the game for over 10 turns and kill with 1/2 creatures that i don't usually use for combat. I just had nothing else and it worked. I was a stunned 'cos i thought about this fast from grave theme my self often.. tested my stasis deck on same type of decks and the worst for it was one that used fast and effective discard as a support. Not sure what would be the best approach for this, but it needs something so it would not just do great sometimes.

if you want to keep the focus on the fast beginning, you could change swamps to petals and moxes. would be even more vulnerable, but make the existing abilities better.. if i'm wrong, i'd like to understand why.

Heheh... I'm feeling mean. Goryo's Vengeance into Nicol Bolas may be a fun addition!

Hey, really cool deck. Just wanted to tell you that I think Tappedout is treating your deck as a commander deck (it shows you as having 40 life). Otherwise I love it

Thanks natemacfad! You'll find an extra +1 on each of your builds.
I don't know why it's listed as Commander. Thanks for informing me though.

you might want something to discard the creatures in your hand, Putrid Imp is a great card for this.

It is listed as a commander deck because you put Basandra, Battle Seraph in the "Commander/General" slot rather than the "Featured Card" slot. I did that once too on my Glacial Fog deck and wondered why the commander function kept giving me the option to pull Glacial Chasm out of my deck at will. Also, I agree with Modern Mongrel about Animate Dead and Droxium about Putrid Imp . You don't need that much mana, since the highest amount of mana you should ever expect to pay in a turn with this deck is 3 (since you're cheating everything into play anyway). So, by removing a few lands for those cards, I see your deck having greater consistency and requiring you to mulligan less.
Lastly, I would swap Putrefax for Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon . On top of the fact that he's black and can be hard-casted if need be, and that he doesn't require you to sacrifice him at the end of turn and can give himself haste and regenerate, he still works with your The Mimeoplasm + Death's Shadow combo. And, frankly, dragons are cooler.

Another cute combo, by the way, is to use Sigarda, Host of Herons with any spell like Goryo's Vengeance or Shallow Grave that would otherwise make you sacrifice your creatures and laugh as you get to keep them permanently instead.

yes, regenerate is very good for saving your creature (i know, kind of obvious), but can be used as a blocker (many times overlooked). GO DRAGONS!

Thanks Diablerie and CW! You'll find an extra +1 on each of your builds.
Diablerie, I'm not sure what you're stating. If you're suggesting the use of Zombify I would incorporate it into this build, however, it simply costs too much mana for its desired effect. I use Death and Reanimate because they both can be used in conjunction with Entomb and Dark Ritual in the same turn.
