You don't need 7 mana. All you need is to have 2 other red spells in your hand. But I don't think this deck needs cards like this to win. The main focus should be on getting those big guys out.

Exactly, I know I have more than enough ramp, but that ramp is for Through the Breach and Elvish Piper which are necessary for this deck to work. But I never really see more than 4 lands (at most, that's a rarity) out, and I would obviously save my ramp to get creatures out anyway.

Yes, the focus is to get the guys into play; however Fury of the Horde is basically an insurance policy to make sure you the game is over the turn they come into play, there and then.
Also, if you think it costs seven mana; read the card again...

I may have ahem over-looked that first ability >u>
Lol I'll test it out in OCTGN and comment here what I think.
(For reference) Fury of the Horde

Pili-Pala Utopia Vow / Paradise Mantle and Heartstone perhaps? And bring them ALL out on a turn?

So, if I'm correct, this is an infinite mana battery? It taps for one, pay that one and untap for one floating, tap it, pay one, add one floating (now you have two), etc.
Right?

That's pretty awesome. Really creative in my opinion.
Not sure how I could fit four more 2 or 3 of's for an infinite combo in this deck though.

Well, At the very least I would start by dropping the infernal plunges. And -maybe- the seething song.

Both. Infernal plunge ramps into seething song into through the breach on turn two.

Progenitus would fare better than It That Betrays

On the off chance that you do not get your Blightsteel Colossus on the board by turn 2 or 3, you blew through your entire hand and have no cards left and no creatures on the board, I would suggest Reforge the Soul, at least 3 of, to fill that hand back up and at the very least get another creature with annihilator.

Progenitus would be better than It That Betrays so that might be switched.
And I'm not sure about Reforge the Soul, maybe i'll sideboard it if i find that that's happening.

Seems a little Dependant on drawing the right cards in the right order, I'd imagine vs RUG delver or merfolk the match-up would be dreadful, what is your plan vs the aggro control and fast combo lists?

The fact that there are (I think) 4 ways to do what I want and the synergy between cards is great makes it pretty easy to get what I want when I want it. To be honest, this deck matches up against most anything pretty well. I can come back from board wipes, I'm faster than most aggro decks, and draw power is really a last resort. Even a mulligan down to 4 has proved not to hinder the power of this deck too much, I've won off of 4 cards in my opening hand before. The only thing I have to look out for is Land destruction. Sometimes it can screw me if I don't have the right cards in hand, but other than that, I haven't had much trouble.

If you've got OCTGN, we can plan a playtest together and we'll see how each fares; sound good? :P

The chances of getting all of those cards at once is very slim.

Actually, it happens quite often. And even though I don't always get them, I'm almost always able to do what I want by turn 5 at least. Playtest it, try it out; you'll see.

Since your deck has this concept, I was wondering if you could explain the rulings on it... If you pay 1 life to search your library for a forest/mountain using Wooded Foothills and you fetch Stomping Ground, does this result in paying 3 life to have Stomping Ground enter the battlefield untapped? Which card takes precedence in this scenario?
Cobthecobbler says... #1
That's a really powerful card. I love it. I just don't think I've ever seen 7 mana in one game with this deck :P
