Because Taiga doesn't have a drawback or anything, it is simply a Forest Mountain.

Just for the shits and giggles, replace llanowar elves with arbor elf. There really isn't a point in doing this but it can untap stomping grounds and taiga.

Lol ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh alright. Doesn't make TOO much of a difference but I guess arbor elf has it's place over elves in this deck.

How does it fair against disruption, surely game 2, 3, 4 or 5 can't go too well. Control would ping the mana dork, and or ping the piper, and or swords the blightsteel...or all three and that is just in boros colours. Blue surely counters all in legacy?
I'm a standard player, please excuse me if this is rude, but seriously...what do you do?

Take what I say with a grain of salt, and feel free to correct me. I'm a standard player who enjoys criticism.
From what I've seen, I feel like this deck will get better as you can afford to put more money into it with off color fetchlands and whatnot Misty Rainforest , Scalding Tarn , etc to help thin your deck. Would also think about Manamorphose for similar purposes. Not a damn clue what I'd take out though. Looks great, Keep it up.

Even though off colour, the lands still fetch the same land :D

Take out the 4 eldrazis and replace it with Worldspine Wurm
Also find space for Sneak Attack
The reason I am suggesting Worldspine Wurm is because it works well with Through the Breach while the eldrazis, not as much. Also, if you can put in Sneak Attack , that would work too.

The Fetch Lands aren't really necessary, but I might put them in anyway. It really only takes 4 mana at most to get this deck going smoothly. Most of the time I can handle 1 or two land the entire game. I've come out on top with just a stomping ground and a mana dork plenty of times.
As for Worldspine Wurm he does work really well with Through the Breach , so I might put some of him in. But the main win condition of this deck is Blightsteel Colossus as he swings for game if he's unblocked. Dem poison counters, man.
I thought about Sneak Attack and it was in an earlier build, but I didn't really play it too often. I might put it back in though.

+2 Sneak Attack
Okay, if that's your problem, then instead of a Progenitus , Kozilek, Butcher of Truth , Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre , and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , you should put in 4x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn so you can wreck the opponent's board. She can be cheated out easily using Sneak Attack or Through the Breach and she can be a life saver if you go late game which your deck is vulnerable in (unless the opponent sacs some undying creatures or shudder Worldspine Wurm ). You're not putting her in for the 15/15 flying creature she is, you're putting her in for the annihilator 6 ability. This also has potential to clear your opponent's creatures so you can swing with Blightsteel Colossus unblocked.
Also, at this point, Anger doesn't have that much of a use in this deck so you may want to replace it with something else (maybe more Through the Breach , Sneak Attack , or Summoning Trap )

I think I'll put in Sneak Attack again, but I don't think I want to take out Pattern of Rebirth yet, I haven't gotten time to playtest that specific card, so I want it to at least have a chance.
I've been thinking about taking out the Anger but it's very useful as a backup when I don't draw something else.

The only way you have to kill off your own creature enchanted with Pattern of Rebirth is with Infernal Plunge . Connect the dots.
Anger as a chump blocker? If that's how you're using him you're better off with 0 mana creatures like Memnite , Ornithopter , Shield Sphere , and Phyrexian Walker

Why not blue in this deck?
Blue has an incredible synergy with artifacts.
Not to mention that you can make an effect very similar to that still giving extra protection
turn 1 - Island , Sol Ring , Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots and any artifact with the CMC 0 (eg. Ornithopter )
turn 2 - Island , Tinker (sacrificing artifact the CMC 0) bringing the Blightsteel Colossus and equipping the boots or greaves
turn 3??? what does it mean?

Because if I used Tinker this deck wouldn't be original.
June 15, 2013 1:25 a.m.
okay them, so why not Sol Ring
and Grim Monolith
to a stupid great ramp?
turn 1 Stomping Ground
+ Sol Ring
+ Grim Monolith
turn 2 Rootbound Crag + Sneak Attack + Blightsteel Colossus (swing to win)
(or, by Grim Monolith be a bit expensive, you can use Basalt Monolith )
one more thing...
I suggest you put at least two Utopia Sprawl
June 15, 2013 4:23 a.m.
What about Lightning Greaves to give any creature shroud. Check out my fatty deck Bring on the Eldrazi might give a few new ideas.
June 18, 2013 10:46 p.m.
Tinker is banned in legacy. However, originality has little to do with doing well in legacy.
Putting in blue is very advisable, not because of the synergy with artifacts, but for the card advantage you gain from it. However, Sensei's Divining Top should be just fine.

That's a misnomer on my part, it's not meant for legacy play, that was more of a footnote on what format the deck is usable in. This is purely a casual deck, and if I start adding in banned cards, the dekcs going to the casual hub.
What I'm saying by Tinker being unoriginal is that this deck on it's own uses an unexpected color combination and card choice to get out a bomb on turn 2.
The expected way to get Blightsteel out is using Lotus Petal and Tinker along with few other supporting cards and that gets him out on turn 1 if done properly.
Now, in response to lendrick: I'd rather not put in any ramp in this deck because it's going to get in the way of the combo. I want as little going on here as possible so I can focus on the combo alone. Thank you for the suggestion though. Ramp was something I was considering as a backup plan.
@Fuss78 If lightning greaves comes in, it'll be sideboard only. It's too situational for MB and could get in the way of the combo.
@203995014 I'm thinking of splashing blue for Pact of Negation . Having that could save my life if it comes down to it. Top could make it in here too.
June 18, 2013 11:18 p.m.
Okay, just don't get mad when people try to give you competitive advice. You won't believe how many people got mad at me for trying to give competitive advice for a "legacy" deck.
Generally, splashing only works if the card you're splashing a color for only has one of the color symbols. More than that and it just doesn't work. It is especially a bad idea to splash for Pact of Negation .

Oh, no, I don't get mad, I welcome the advice. I may just come off as too serious sometimes.
Also, Pact of Negations secondary effect wouldn't matter that early in the game against a Blightsteel. If I can get the combo to go off, Pact would be free protection so that I can win that turn. If not, splashing for Spell Snare could work too.
June 18, 2013 11:28 p.m.
No dude, don't splash anything and just put in Mental Misstep .
Also, that's assuming everything goes on correctly. Your combo is just way too fragile and the deck forces it to depend on the opening hand. For casual play though it should be fine.
MAYBE you could splash black, put in Bayou , add more fetchlands, and put in Thoughtseize , Inquisition of Kozilek , and/or Duress .

Yes, you have to pay the life for both, but in that case, I'd by fetching Taiga since it is both a Forest and a Mountain, and can be searched.
