Nephilim: I have thought about that before! There used to be a couple of Rites in the original version of this deck back in 2010-11. I was actually thinking of adding a couple today believe it or not. The nine mana seems steep at times, but it seals the game if I have a Druid for mana and either an Excavator or Diabolist on the field. The really nice thing about it is that I can tutor for it with Bring to Light, and then pay the kicker cost after casting it for free. Even having one in the deck means that I have access to the spell whenever I draw into Bring to Light.
The only reason I haven't mainboarded it yet is because I'm thinking of what to remove in order to make room. I really like having 3 Eerie Interludes and Panharmonicons, and I'm not sure I want to remove Allies to make room for it. Do you have any suggestions of what to remove for it?

You're right bah-bammmm. Let me just burn the deck and delete this post. (:
If you're not sure, why don't you run a few playtests of this deck, see what happens, and then give me some advice to make it more viable in Modern? That'll be much more helpful than unsure assumptions.

What about Anointed Procession for doubling the amount of tokens and then that triggering the mill
May 5, 2017 11:06 p.m.
Eh. It would be alright wbrannan98, but it really only combos with Unified Front. Plus it costs 4 CMC, the same amount that just casting another Unified Front would. There's just not room for it in the deck in this form. Maybe if it had a lot of Ally token spawn, then Anointed Procession would be more reasonable.
May 5, 2017 11:25 p.m.
Yea i could totally see that. I agree if you ran more token spawn it would be more beneficial

Call to the Kindred would provide digging to be able to choose what creature you get over d-path, but has the same problems and cost more...
i would try the d-path personally, or just go up on coco count

Forbidden Orchard seems really dangerous here. In modern, the last thing you want to be doing is feeding your opponents a way to kill you. I would recommend replacing them with Mana Confluences, or alternatively finishing off the fetches and shocks (though that will cost you a couple of hundred dollars).
The other thing is that your deck lacks removal. If your opponent windmill slams a Siege Rhino, you're going to start losing a lot of allies very quickly as you're throwing them under the bus to chump block (or gang block) big threats. I would look at adding a handful of Path to Exiles, Dismembers, or similar to help you deal with big threats. Those are the main things that stood out to me.
Other than that, it's an interesting concept and interesting to see Panharmonicon Allies as a modern deck.

hmm. interesting use of allies. here is my use on it and tell me what you think of it. Rally the allies

Hey ticked-off-squirrel. I checked out that deck and gave it some ideas, but it belongs to a different user. Is that actually you? If not, try re-linking me to your deck again. I didn't see an Ally deck under your account.

KongMing stupid website. i used my deck seed but it always links to a different user deck. try checking under "all decks" on my page. it R/W

ticked-off-squirrel: you mean this one - Rally the Allies!? you can't just use the deck name, you have to use the whole deck slug which in your case is "17-05-17-rally-the-allies". Tapped out has gone through a few different versions of managing decks with the same name. In your case, it was when the date was appended to the title.

This is a very cool ally deck and I like the mill combo. I have my own list but I went for a more control approach. Heres my list http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/10-06-17-mill-allies/ again very nice deck design my friend :)

Unclaimed Territory and Ally Encampment are good alt lands for allies, and Clone Army wins games.

I love this deck! Mill was always a favorite strategy of mine, ever since I lost my first game against a stranger by that cause. It became my first commander deck with Phenax, God of Deception, but I could see this working amazingly to be Bant mill, which are two things I thought would never go together.

This type of deck makes me nostalgic for the first run at Zendikar. I really wish Hedron Crab could have been an "ally" subtype.
Looks fun! I like all the triggers for Halimar you have available to you.

Thanks Sh1ftyL0ck3! Yeah, the core of the deck is definitely Bant - initially it only splashed Black to get the Diabolist win condition off. When I played this in Standard, the presence of the old Eldrazi Titans meant I couldn't rely solely on mill for the win, so the Diabolists helped win via the traditional route, reducing opponent's life to 0.
Actually theemptyquiver, I totally had 4 Hedron Crabs in the original version of this deck when it was in Standard! That version had other mill-centric cards in it too, like Mind Funeral and Archive Trap. Believe it or not, though, the current Instants and Sorceries that plop extra Allies out or blink my field mill opponents for far more cards far faster than traditional mill staples would. It took a long time, but I eventually cut the Hedron Crabs from my deck in favor of Panharmonicon and Bring to Light when those came out.

This deck looks awesome. One question I had though is whether you've considered Cavern of Souls for this deck. I feel that it may be helpful in both color fixing for four-color, and to prevent interference from control decks.
March 31, 2019 1:54 p.m.
Yeah, Cavern of Souls has definitely been considered. $ cost is the only thing keeping me from replacing the Forbidden Orchards with a playset of those.

Lol, I made a deck just like this before I found this website, it even had Halimar Excavator.

hello interested party here,
so 60 cards and 20 lands is not enough to cast all of these 4,5 and 6 drops. we either need to lower the curve to accommodate the lower land count. Concept of ramping into panharmonicon is a solid idea. so once we cut the 12 4+ drops excluding the panharmonicons and 2 add 4+ drops of your choice back then. That frees 12 slots I think we then go up to 22 to 24 lands. then we pick our new favorite allys from battle for zendikar. We also max out on the white allys because they are great. So all in all we lower the curve with Panharmonicon being the top of the curve so we can hit our land drops then from there we can keep the manabase mostly the same I recommend adding the fetchable trilands instead of the tapped alara lands. Other then that we make a choice to go lower to the ground with the slots freed up or we go bigger and have to add more mana to accommodate this.
In summary interesting deck idea and with some manabase fixing and curve lower this concept could really sing.

Have you thought about Rite of Replication? If you kick it targeting a Halimar Excavator you get 6 triggers 5 times for 6 cards each (6x5x6= 180 cards)... the same could also be done for Hagra Diabolist or Ondu Cleric
